I am not quite sure what hair texture you may have, but straighter hair tends to fall out of braids faster than wavy or curly hair. Here are a few tips that I do when I braid straight hair. First, ask your stylist to use a light gel or mousse when braiding. This will make it look a lot neater too. As for the ends of the braids, make sure that the braids are braided all the way to end without a lot of hair left loose. Then, use rubber bands on the ends. At night, if your hair is long enough, pull all braids together into a low ponytail, and tie down your head with a scarf. To maintain the ends, just smooth a little gel over the flyaways. Hope it works for you:)

If you put gel, don't put one on that will flake, that will look gross. I use blue magic, it's like the jelly stuff they put in your hair when it gets done. when you go to bed wear a hankerchief or a dorag. don't wash your hair if you want to keep it in longer, don't stratch if it itches, pat instead. thats kinda gross cause that means you should be washing your hair, but if you wanna keep it in that's what you gotta do. and it also depends on what type of hair you have and how well you had your hair done. i'm asian so that's the hardest kind of hair to keep in a tight braid.

it all depends on your hair texture. the strighter your hair is the shorter amount of time they will last. the tighter your hair is, the longer they will last. keep in mind that if your natural hair is braided, expect them to last a short amount of time, if you have extentions, they will last way longer.

tie or cover your hair at night before laying on your head, this will keep them from unraveling and will help the strands to stay in place.

to wash your hair, get a cotton ball and saturate it was sea breeze and apply it to your scalp. when i get my hair braided this is what i do, and my braids usually last up to 6 weeks.

Well ima n italian female and i have very thick curly hair and i can keep them in just the front of my hair for 2 -3 weeks. DO NOT USE GEL OR MOUSSE!IT WILL GET FLAKEY!what you should do depending on your hair texture, jsut dont wash it.Go to walgreens, cvs, or anywhere where they have hair products and get indian hemp grease. its like $1.00. its a little bottle and its yellow near the hair relaxers and stuff. use a little on your fingertips and just smooth it over your scalp and braids. just dont use alot. good luck
