I work in a restaurant in Georgia and I was promised that when I turned 18 I could start waitressing (which would include serving alchohol) but now I'm told that I have to be 21.
I remember looking it up in the Georgia Law Code online, but now I can't remember how I got to that page of the website!!
help me.......!

I live in Tennessee and here you only have to be 18 to serve alcohol, although some places require you to be 21 to bartend. (Bar rules, not state law). Go to the ABC site off of the state of georgia's website www.georgia.gov and it should tell you the laws regarding serving in GA. Good Luck!

check out these sights.
it says that counties can change the local ordinances, so it appears that whatever county you are in has raised the pour/serve age.
the "miss charming" page has alot of interesting facts.
good luck.
