If the earth is only 6,000 years old, wouldnt that make God a sick and twisted being?

to trying fool us all into thinking that the earth is not actually 4.5 billion years old? For allowing us to be so dumb as to believe in science?

it has nothing to do with god trying to fool us. it's man that is trying to fool us, man is the sick and twisted one. all of the stories in the bible are versions of other stories form other cultures rewritten and presented as the "word of god" even the birth and life of jesus is a copy of other ancient stories of "god men" it's just rewritten and names have been changed.
simply put the bible is a product of mankind, and mankind back in 100ad didn't know squat or they just decided to reject what they really knew.
are you aware that in roughly 10,000 -15,000 BC they KNEW that the earth orbited the sun? and that the earth had a 1 degree wobble!! yet you read " history books" that say man always thought the earth was flat and it was the center of the universe up until a few hundred years ago (I apologize for not providing the exact date but non the less it is true)
there is so much more to discredit what the bible says not to mention the changes made from the king james version to the NIV version, so many messages have been changed. the latest example I have come across is from judges 11 in which a daughter is to be sacrificed to god. she requests that (in king james) that she be allowed to go into the mountains for two months to "bewail her virginity" meaning to express sorrow, so basically to grieve that she will never have the pleasure of sex. in the NIV it has been changed to grieve for she will never marry. now marriage and sex are two drastically different things yet should some child read it and ask a question about it I would imagine the response would be something along the line of "she is sad that she will never have children nor grandchildren" yet in actually all she is concerned about(if the james version can be labeled ans correct) is not having an orgasm!!!

God is not sick and twisted and has not caused anyone to believe that the earth is only 6000 years old. People have conjectured through religion and other myths that the earth is only 6000 years old based on the biblical account of Adam and Eve. The earth is full of evidence that the earth is as old as science says it is. There is no evidence nowhere that can show the earth is only 6000 years old. The bible says..." Ye shall know the truth and the truth will set you free"

What organism is over 80,000 years old? Do you KNOW that it is that old, or do men tell you that it is that old? God can speak a tree into existed by His mere Word, and that tree, which is only seconds old, will in every way APPEAR to scientists to be over a hundred years old. Jesus when He made water into wine, Made the wine aged. it was very good wine, the older a wine is, the better it tastes. Jesus in a matter of a second, created wine. Now if a scientist were to have examined that wine only seconds after it was created, they would indeed tell you, Yes the evidences is that this wine is over 60 years old based on the taste, smell, composition. Yet in reality it is only seconds old. When Jesus created thousands of fish, from only five fishes. Even though those fish were seconds old, Scientists would claim because of the size of the fish, how old it is, they would say how old it is based on the size of the fish, or the age of the teeth that are in the fish. God is God, He can create whatever He so chooses to create. If God wants to create a rock, that is seconds old, He can do it. Even though Scientists will tell you, that it takes millions of years to create a rock. The Earth may appear to be billions of years old, but the Truth is, it's not, it was only created that way. Just as Jesus created OLD wine in a matter of seconds, and He created old fish, which were seconds old in Truth. Have you ever visited a creation museum? There is a lot of evidence that the world is not actually that old. There is evidence that in some parts of the world that some dinasaurs lived as little as 500 years ago. Thery have found actual dinasaur bones, not fossils, but bones and they have them on display. In order for a bone to exist, it can't be more than a couple thousand years old. There are many many more fascinating things that are disregarded by scientists that are very real. It is a human nature to deny Jesus, so why wouln't this be any different. There are many errors in carbon dating too, which actually makes it not as accurate as once thought. In truth, the idea of the world being 45 million years old is really a theory and not 100 percent proven either. When it comes right down to it, who really knows. Some christians believe that it's 10000 years old, some believe longer. Once you know Jesus personally, and you see him performing great things in your life, it doesn't really matter anymore. I know in my heart that he is real, so how old the world is doesn't really matter much after that.

Many Christians realize that the bible represents an incomplete record. It was written by men inspired by the god they believed in.
