I am a Dutchie living in Cape Town, as I have done for the past 2,5 years. I really would not mind returning to Holland - despite the crap weather - as I really miss my family and friends. So, my choice is not too glamourous, but I would like to spend 2007 in The Netherlands.

Without doubt in New York City, in the centre of Manhattan, opposite Central Park. New York to me is THE city to live in, so full of life and blasting with energy. The lights in Times Square are mind blowing and the diversity I experience as I walk through the streets makes me feel so alive. Wake up early in the morning, grab coffee from Starbucks, and pretend you are Carrie Bradshaw going shoe shopping. If you have seen NYC you have seen it all.

I would live in Egypt because the people are very kind! Also it is very cheap to live there! It is lots of fun. You can visit historic part of Egypt. On some of the building are pictures and Hyroghipics. The food is wonderful! The weather is wonder at this time of year!

Why not just travel around for a year? If you are that free to choose, why tie yourelf down immediately?
I'd start with the wonders of the world, then cross each ocean and visit every continent and every major capital city and beauty spot.
Actually, I'd need 2 years!

Portugal. Hot during the day, cool at night, beautiful beaches, fantastic restaurants. Friendly people but not overly noisy like the Spanish. Need I say more, just a lovely way of life.

I would love to live in Barbados. Don't have family there but I went on holiday there for my last birthday and it was an excellent island to visit and explore.
I loved the culture. The people are so friendly and chilled out it was a excellent relaxing holiday.
The food was divine. They eat really healthily with plenty of fresh fish, fruit and veg. They make excellent alcohol, and its so cheap to buy there alcohol out there compared to the UK
The beaches are to die for, absolutely out of this world..... coral reefs, water turtles, sunsets.....ummmm!
...So I'd love to get an apartment there, and work in bar and nightclub... something different!
Okay back down to Earth now, or should I say sunny Leicester... Great (Not!)

I made that decision years ago; to live abroad. I live on the Island of Cebu Philippines, beautiful weather, and beautiful people. Almost everyone is friendly, and they are always smiling. Paradise my Eden.

New Zealand, I love the place, been there many times and know my way about. If you get there try to get yourself invited to a proper Hangi, but beware of the beer, it is served icy cold and on a hot day sits a bit uncomfortable on your stomach.

Turkey is my favourite place for holidays so I'd go there. I would go with Thomas Cook as their aeroplanes have more leg room and they don't constantly bug you and try to sell you tacky watches during your flight like some airlines do ;0)
