After working hard, excercising and cutting down on food intake, weight doesn't seem to decrease and results in one feeling discouraged and frustrated. Tell mother about my problems, she scoffed at me and say that i'm just lazy??? Er... come on, how can that be? When i do 30 minutes of sit ups everyday, 15 minutes of skipping on alternate days, 1 cup milo for breakfast, 1 small bowl of lunch and dinner everyday? Now feeling confused and desperate. I need to lose weight fast for the Chinese New Year when all relatives will be around and i don't wish anyone criticising about my weight, figure and image. Current size is between M and L. How to decrease to S size fast? Help, anyone?

Woh.......hold on. You don't say how much you weigh or how tall you are? That's what your weight is based on--your height. Not everyone is meant to be a small. Stop listening to your mother and other negative relatives. Who cares what THEY think?? You aren't exercising enough. 15 minutes of "skipping" every other day? Skipping rope? Come on, now. You need to get out there and really exercise. EVERYDAY. You should be walking (and I don't mean strolling---put your butt into it) 60 minutes EVERY day. Forget skipping. Sit ups are fine, but doing that every day is not going to help you lose weight---it is only meant to tone your abs. If you aren't losing the fat on your abs---then your stomach is not going to get smaller. But you will have muscle under the fat....you just won't be able to see it. Make sure you are eating the right kinds of foods--not just less of bad things. You should be eating lean protein, lots of vegetables and only whole grains. Stay away from "white" foods....white rice, white pasta, potatoes (baked potato once in a while--with nothing on it--is fine), etc. You need brown rice, whole wheat pastas....get my drift?

Maybe you are suppose to be between a M & L!

If someone is so insensitive as to make a comment about your weight/size say to them, "At least I have so big heart that I don't hurt other people feelings."

Perhaps that will shut them up.

And listen, eating too few calories is bad for your metabolism - when your body gets too few calories, it goes into famine mode and slows down. The bad part of this is your metabolism will likely never be as fast as it once was.

Eat breakfast first thing - do not exercise on an empty stomach - food is energy. And eating kick starts your metabolism for the day resulting in more calories burned. Eat all the calories your suppose to - don't hurt yourself to please others. Believe me, if they weren't teasing/critisizing you about your body size, they would find other ammo.

This says more about them than you.

It's all about CARDIO. Skipping, I don't know much about. Running is what's gonna do it for you... but you have to be dilligent
atleast 30 minutes EVERY day. days that you feel extra motivated go back and do another 30 minutes. If you do that you will see results fast. It always sucks in the beginning but you have to suck it up and focus on your goal. Your body will adjust and you will start to really enjoy the exercise. Goodluck.

Try eating healty, like 3 squares a day, jog, walk, and lift wieghts, or work on a farm out in the sun, that is what I did and lost 20+ lbs. in which I've gained all back plus more. But, I have realized that it's because I have big hips and drink loads of coffee, I'm addicted to coffee, it's my saftey net.

Don't do that many sit-ups,it will overtrain you and waste your muscles, the skipping is good,do it early in the morning before eating, don't eat many carbs, eat mostly vegetables and fruits/
