Base on the bible, no other teaching will come but the Gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed.Gal 1:9 As we said before, and now I say again, If anyone preaches a gospel to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed.

Imam Mahdi al-Qaim is not a prophet or a messenger of God. He cant be as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the seal of prophets. Muslims only regard him as an Imam (Leader) who will fight the Anti-Christ together with Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) and true believers in the end of time. The closest that Imam Mahdi can be is a mujaddid - a saintly figure who is sent by God every 100 years to protect Islam from any corruption.
God knows best.
Peace and Love.

Your "logic" is totally flawed. You assert something as fact yet it is not proved. You then go on and on about the consequences of its "truth". At least I THINK you are trying to form a question...but even THAT isn't clear.
So, to answer your non-question: No, "only prophets have" NOT redeemed religions. Jesus is the SON of the one true God. He is the Savior and the Messiah. He is NOT (according to the blasphemy of islam) a mere man and prophet.
Hmm. I thought muslims all claim that islam is "correct", "perfect", "yada yada". And HERE you're saying that it "has deviated from the straight path" and needs redemption. Has the new muhammed arrived?

Ayatollah Khomeini bought about the Islamic Iranian Revolution, don't see anyone claiming he was a Prophet? He supposedly replace a monarchy with a theocracy operating under the principle of divine right.
The Mahdi will lead the people there is nothing about redeeming Islam.

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The reason God Mentions all these Prophets Peace be upon them in The Qur'an is because in Islam it is beloved that all the Prophets (pbut) all taught the same message and same religion. They were Muslims (meaning those who submit to the Will of God) by definition and all invited people to worship the Creator alone and do good deeds. For ex. Moses Peace be upon him in his Arcaic language from archeological findings called God El-Yah and Jesus Peace be upon him called God in his Aramaic language Aallah or Ellah if you look it up in an Aramaic lexicon and concordance. Also, you will read in the bible that all the Prophets like Abraham and Jesus (pbut) fell on their face and prayed like the Last Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him and Muslims. The Qur'an is believed to be the Preserved and Last Book of God. I invite all to read it with an open heart and see. May God Guide us all to what is best. Amen. In-Sha'Allaah (God Willing)

Jesus is not a prophet. Jesus is God in Flesh. There is only 1 God therefore only 1 following of God through Christ. There is only 1 way to heaven.

In my opinion the above question is JIBBERISH and FOOLISH!
Mo redeemed Judaism--then tells all to convert them or kill them!
NONSENSE!
THE GOD/JESUS is the ONLY REDEEMER!
Mo was just another desert "drifter" who had a diabolical old R.C. Wife and an Uncle with a BIG SWORD!

Is this not a question concerning the Shi'a belief? He's the 12 imam and masoom (infallible), correct?
I personally don't believe anyone is infallible except for the Prophets who were divinely guided, and of course Allah.
So it's better if you ask a someone who is Shi'a to answer this because no one else will likely agree with you or even know what you're talking about.

He'll not redeem Islam, because he'll be a muslim.
He's also will be a prophet but not a messanger.
And he'll spread Islam everywhere.
