Most of us have done it, but why?

Because she wasn't there for me when I needed her the most and someone else was.
We had been having a hard time. Our middle daughter had broken her arm, the same day my stepbrother committed suicide, two weeks later my wife went into premature labor, we lost half the roof on our new home in a big storm while we were at the hospital, my wife was on bed rest for six weeks, and through all this I was finishing-up a semester in school (I'd gone back for a new degree). The baby came and my mom was diagnosed with cancer a week later, then died seven weeks after that.
I needed her and she wasn't there for me. This other woman (a neighbor and my wife's best friend) was.
Being the good person my wife is, though, when my affair was discovered, she recognized her part in it also, and that allowed us to move forward and work it out. We are happier today than we ever were before. It was a huge learning experience, and one that taught us some huge communication skills as a couple and that trust and compassion are more than just words.

I never cheated on the last guy I was with, but the others I was just young and didn't really care.

I am not part of the "most" you are discussing.
I didn't, I haven't and I don't intend to. And because of that I have been married to the some woman for over 35 years.

Sometimes our lovers are there when we need them and we find someone else that gives us that pleasure they wouldn't give to us.And sometimes people do it for payback which is really no reason at all to cheat.Well I haven't cheated on my fiance and I feel if I need to cheat then we don't need to be together

temptation, they werent good and after months of it, enough was enough, & i was on vacation, so it was heat of the moment -- but also i was younger & at the time didn't really care to much, but i would never do that now im truly in love

3000 Miles away in a different country & I had an itch my hand couldn't satisfy.Does that help make it right?No not in the long run.

one of the reasons this happens is because it is a love test....the question that people ask them selves all the time is how much do i live him or her and how much do they love me.....but reall does it work? everyone has to find out for themselves.......lol
