All the Prozac in the world wouldn't make you realize you shouldn't take life for granted! Not that I don't understand but whatever stuff you might be going through (not being able to fit in, feeling worthless, not getting attention, feeling empty...etc) is not an excuse for cutting/starving yourself. Get busy do smtg productive with your time, instead of cutting yourself go volunteer @ a battered women's shelter, or go with a church mission to somewhere in South America, or maybe join the Peace Corps. Once you see how ppl in 3rd world countries appreciate the small things in life, you would never take life for granted again. And believe me you don't even know what pain is. Take ur dark energy and use it to help ppl in need they'll appreciate it and so would you.

You can only be a teacher or a psychologist when you grow up if you live long enough to grow up. There isn't a simple "how many days can I go without eating and live" answer. It depends on how bad your physical condition is, and it sounds like it might be bad already.
People say that you cut for attention because they don't know the real reason and that's the only "logical" reason they can relate to why a person would cut themselves.
You're not crazy, but if you don't quit you could die. You have to have certain nutrients in order to live and when you have no body fat and your muscles are already wasting away you can not live long without food. It is common for a persons heart to quit functioning or for them to have a stroke when their physical condition gets bad enough. Many times that means permanant disability. Other times it means death.
A big reason why people have anorexia is because they want to control and feel out of control. They end up feeling that their food intake is one thing they can completely control. It eases anxiety they feel about the pressure they feel about trying to be perfect and keep people approving of them. This is a generalization, but it's often the case.
Cutting and Bullemia are other ways of releasing and dealing with anxeity.
If none of these options to deal with anxiety had any adverse effects, then no one would be upset by them. It's only the dangerous and potentially deadly side effects that cause people to be alarmed.
I'm sorry to tell you that the disorders you describe are very difficult to control without professional help.

A cutter is someone that has alot of pain. The cutting releases it. Your eating disorder may be that you feel that you are not in control of anything else but your eating. No you are not crazy. You are a teen with problems. If you do not get professional help you may cut yourself to deep and bleed to death. Sometimes a short stay at a hospital can be the best help. You need to talk to your mom or dad or a trusted adult. What about a school counselor? You say you need advice. You are getting advise. You are choosing not to accept it. This is your choice. You can choose to be mentally healthy or not. I will pray for you. Good luck.

Your body is a machine, it needs fuel. Food is the fuel that keeps the body going. Proper nutrition is important to keep the body and even the mind working properly.
You do need to find someone you can talk to about this. Someone you will listen to. I think most people who do these kinds of things have self esteem problems. You may be in the same category. You need to find reasons to like yourself. Look for the good things in your life and try not to dwell on the bad. I think that as you find good positive things and you start doing things that help you feel good about yourself the desire to cut and not eat will resolve itself.
If you can resolve these issues, I don't see why you couldn't be a teacher or psychologist. And probably pretty darn good at it because you will have faced these issues and will be able to help others as well.
There is one thing that you are that makes you special. You are a daughter of God. If nothing else, keep this in mind for now. He loves and cares about you. Turn your heart to prayer and He will help you through the tough times. He will help you find the good positive activities to help you feel better about yourself. Read your scriptures. If you don't have any, go buy some. Somehow, praying and reading scriptures always seems to calm me and make me feel better about myself.
If you have a church, talk to your pastor or priest. They can often give you some good advice that will help you. If you don't have a church, see if you can find one where you feel comfortable.
There is so much in life that is good and wonderful. All you have to do look for it. It may be hard in the beginning, but it is there. Surround yourself with friends that will help you see the good things in life. Stay away from people who feed your desire to do these destructive things. Not always easy, but do your best.
Remember, God loves you. Give Him a chance.

I understand your fear of therapists, but you do need some form of help... there are other ways, try yellowribbon.org , or get a support group, a few of these people to check in on you as you try to move forward... thhink, what makes you cut? is it something you can eliminate from your life? maby you have too much stress... try yoga, meditation, or deep breathing... keep a list of reasons you are a good person, reasons to live, most importantly, try to make each day a little happier than they used to be... maybe buy a dog, cat, plant, or just spend a little more time smelling the flowers in your life...
As for your eating disorder, people have died, lost the ability to reproduse, gained back more weight than they lost, lost brain mass, and hundreds of other things from it... try a healthy diet, exercise, and have your support group help remind you that beauty isn't everything...
I'll be praying for you. Good Luck, and be strong, there is a special place for people with the strenght to accept, and defeat this, I hope to see you there someday.

You absolutely need professional help. I am a coach, was a cheerleader, and had an e.d. too. My brother also was a cheerleader and a cutter. We just come from a family with a history of chemical imbalances and with the right meds the desire to do those things becomes managable. For that matter the whole internal 'push' to act in those ways can be tamed if not actually cured.
Trust me, there is help out there. But you need to go get it.
*hugs*

Don’t run to the vet or wellness care expert with each and every little difficulty. If the canines’s habit differences or it has a seizure, then you definately bypass to the vet. Many canines have eaten lots of chocolate without area consequences. I don’t comprehend what canines did in the previous this records got here out, yet I never have heard of a canines dying of this in each and all of the time I’ve lived. while i became a toddler, w’d provide canines chocolate treats as a results of fact no person had ever heard we've been’t meant to. all of them lived and confirmed no undesirable consequences. those issues replace into like hysteria. Our doggies ate some coffee grounds it somewhat is meant to be as undesirable as chocolate. The vet mentioned to observe them, so I say to you, watch it for differences. If there are, then you definately bypass to the vet.

i also have an eating disorder im trying to cope with and getting help with right now,Ive let all my issues be known and im not getting judged like i thought. Theres no reason to kill yourself you have family and friends who will support but you have to want help. Getting rid of yourself will get rid of your problems but will cause even bigger lasting problems for the people you love and who care about you. You wouldnt want to put them through hurt and pain that would be more maximum than what you feel. They want whats best for you, cutting and disorders is a problem that sometimes requires out side help but you have to want it! You can do whatever you want when you grow up but you have to remain alive first, you have support and love all around you , let them in and trust them. You will never regret it, nothing bad lasts forever but the pain after losing a loved one does. good luck babygirl! You have a world of love around you just step up to the plate and let everything out.

I used to have an eating disorder and I cut myself, and now I am going to school to be a psychologist. What is going on in your life that is causing you all this pain? People don't cut for attention, they cut because they can't deal with their emotional pain and want to translate it into physical pain. Eating disorders are caused by feeling you have no control over life, and you try to regain it by controlling what you eat. My problems stemmed from being sexually abused by my father. There must be something going on in your life that is causing you to hurt yourself. Check out these websites:
http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/your_mind/mental_health/cutting.html
http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/exercise/problems/eat_disorder.html
And if you feel you need to talk to someone immediately about feeling suicidal call 1-800-SUICIDE. You can anonymously talk to trained professionals who can help you understand all these intense emotions you are feeling.
