I decided to keep my niece (she is 10) during christmas vacation and I noticed one day that she had only been to the bathroom once the whole day. and that wasnt until night time. I asked several people how the heck can she hold her pee in for the long. I can only last about 10 minutes after I awake and I have to pee so bad. For some reason I think this is a problem. I confronted her and ask her how many times she went and she said once the whole day. She said she didnt need to go before that. Thats a lie and I know it is. Any reason she would do this? Please help I am concerned for her. Thanks

she does get plenty of liquids like I said so I was thinking maybe it something mentally or maybe she likes how it feels. I will try to talk to her parents but her mom (my sister) is hardheaded and probably think its ok.

HMM.. it really is unhealthy if she is getting the proper fluids. Is everything ok at school? Is she not allowed breaks very often, or is she too into what is going on that she doesnt want to leave the area to go potty? My daughter goes atleast 1 an hour, and when we go out to walmart, dinner anywhere she always has to go again. I would really talk to her parents, she might develop yeast infections or bladder infections it is not normal or healthy.

She may simply have an unusually large bladder. It's not going to hurt her. Worst that will happen, she pees her pants somewhere. She may decide to pee more frequently after that.

Now I have an exceptionally large bladder. I pee when I get up in the morning. I drink 16 onces of milk in the morning and 4 - 6 cups of coffee at work. I'll have a 16 once tea at lunch and a 12 oz coke in the afternoon. Twelve hours after my morning pee, I might take a leak before going home.

Yes, I could pee more often, but I get very busy at work and the urge is not that great.

Leave her be. I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to discuss something as personal as peeing with you.

I did this when i was in grade school. Something about being afraid to go , do you know if she burns when she goes? I had a really bad kidney or bladder infection when i was a child. Now i can go every 30 min or more. Maybe her bladder isnt fully developed or something. Think mine is big enough for 2 LOL. Hope you can solve this if not she really attention of the doctor.

The only time my kids have ever held it, is when their only choice is public bathroom. They are both afraid of automatic flushers. This is likely not your neices problem, but if she is drinking fluids all day and not going, this could potentially damage her kidneys. Her mother should discuss the situation with her doctor and get to the bottom of it. If she really doesn't feel the need, or if she does need to but she can't for some reason, her doctor should be investigating why not. That's not normal, and I wouldn't ignore the problem if it were my daughter.

Maybe she really didn't need to go. I usually only go once when I wake up and once more sometime during the day. Everyone is different.

i think of it extremely is a poor reason to place a canine to sleep. ill and injury and suffering familiar with out desire is a superb reason yet no longer if somebody is bored. That individual could quite merely attempt to re-ignite the relaxing. in spite of everything, each and every thing gets boring each and every now and then yet you could continually attempt to have extra relaxing lower back quite than changing it. besides, canine are no longer toys.

Maybe she has an infection, which makes peeing burn. I would tell her parents to talk to the pediatrician.

She should drink more water and if that doesn't work tell her if she hollds her pee it is not good for her kidneys. Because if this continues she will have kidney track disorders.

She should be drinking 8 glasses of water a day.

What was her intake?
