I'm specifically looking for Troopers in Ohio, but i'd appreciate any responces.

I'm just kind of wondering what the daily schedule can look like...

There really are a lot of generic questions i can come up with, but i'll just leave it up to anybody who wants to respond to tell me whatever they'd like.

Thanks a lot

I live with a state trooper, so I can give you the schedule from my point of view.
on call 24/7, no holidays off, no plans for the weekends, and god forbid the weather is bad. However, there are good points. He is a great person, very compassionate and a take charge kind of guy. He doesn't get stepped on and people respect him.

Troopers, in all states, are primarily charged with enforcement and safety issues on state and Federal highway systems.

They enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes and arrest criminal offenders on the highway systems.

In some states, they also patrol and take calls within unincorporated towns and villages... but that is rare.

Bottom line, its traffic, traffic and more traffic. It can be a long and boring 20 year career.
