I'm dating two young ladies and they both have pets...one has a dog and the other has a couple cats. I guess you can say I'm an equal opportunist on all fronts! :)
Anyway, the dog is a puppy and isn't house trained but she leaves him inside while she's at work. As a result, he uses the kitchen floor...or where ever he wants to...as his own personal potty! She does a decent job of cleaning up right away but when I go over, the place smells like a kennel.
My other friend's cats are also an issue. They don't smell as bad although the fur makes me sneeze sometimes...haha! But recently she went on vacation for a couple weeks and I guess her room mates didn't take good enough of the kitties and they ended up crapping in her closet and pissing on her bed...the cats, not the room mates! haha! Like my other friend, she cleaned up, but now her room is kinda funky and I'm sneezing more. :P
Now I want to leave them both to find someone that is pet-free. Has this ever happened to you?

yeah. dated a woman who had two yippie dogs that were used to being on the bed. they woudl jump up on the bed when we were in her room, very annoying. she'd lock them out but they'd yap and yap at the door. It was one reason I lost interest in coming over to her place

I'm allergic to CATS and I made that point right up front before I ever went to his place but if pets are a problem then the relationship probably would be also. Good luck on your search. . .

yeah man, i was with this girl that had 2 cats that would go all over her couch. it smelled so bad and the couch was typically where we would, you know, get a little physical. one day i was over and i came in and i saw cat crap all over the couch and was just like, i cant take this anymore. its nasty.

no i havent had my relationship be broken up over pets... but i did have a relationship that ended because my girlfriend wouldnt stop playing runescape.... evil game...
