No one here can, nor should they tell you that you are fat based on your weight/height. You need to see your doctor and have him give you his opinion based on a physical. Weight is not the way to determine if you are fat or not. Plus, you don't want to compare yourself to some of these really skinny gals these days, because they are just as unhealthy, sometimes more, than people that are overweight. Don't allow yourself to be so curious or corncerned with others opinions of you. A healthy self confidence will allow you to see when you need to hit the gym and lose some weight, but will help keep your head above water when people think that they need to point out your short comings. Lat thing, at 13 you still have alot of what people call "baby fat". With time and a good diet/excersise, this "baby fat" will slowly disappear and the true you will emerge.

Be really careful with dieting at your age. It can definitly lead to some very bad habits in the future and can be really hard on your growth. You have probably heard it before but your best option for maintaining a healthy weight and body overall is to excercise at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. Do something you like, if this means walking around the mall with your friends,Great! Walking your dog or earn some extra cash and walk dogs for your neighbors or other people around you, when I was in school we had PE every day, and if you push yourself to really work through your classes this can be effective as well. Even more important though is a healthy diet, if you are eating junk and working out, you will bottom out quickly and you won't see good results. Talk to your doctor and your family tell them you want to start eating healthy, ie balanced vegetables first, high protein meats, 3 serving dairy low fat daily (check the sugars on the lables for yogurt as these are notorious for high sugar content), then grains (it's better to get your fiber from vegetables than bread and pastas). It's ok to treat yourself every know and then to a special treat, but drinking pop and juice and substituting fruit for vegetables just add more sugar that are stored as fat. Eat healthy and don't forget your body is still growing so you still need calories. Don't starve yourself, if you change your habits to healthy habits you will see the unwanted weight coming off and finding yourself feeling more healthy and motivated to doing better in school and other activities.

Same here. I have really broad shoulders and I am alot heavier than the other girls at school but people think I am like 100-115 because I am very proportioned. You aren't overweight. You are the regular for girls our type. The way you lose weight fast and effectively is the South Beach Diet. It will take time but you won't regret. It is hard the first week but it will get easier. :)♥

u could prob. stand to lose a few lbs. but u also have to figure in how muscular u are since muscle weighs more than fat. if ur athletic and play many sports then u will be more muscle and need it in order to compete. if its mostly fat then get rid of a few lbs and u should be fine.

u can calculate ur bmi index (this gives an indicator of how much body fat u have and gives u the normal, underweight and overweight ranges)

If you feel you are overweight, you need to figure out why you are feeling this way. If you still want to loose weight, that may be fine but you should not expect it to happen quickly. You want to let it happen slowly so that you will maintain the weight loss. You may just want to be aware of what you are eating and eat smaller portions with a little walking.

What you see on your scale is only numbers. You should pay more attention to whats inside of you. Are you a good person? Don't fall for the whole media hype on being thin. Just be happy and love every day you live. Just be healthy and happy. Healthy doen't mean Nicole and Paris thin. Those two gals aren't healthy.

Are your bones heavy? Or is it fat? I'm 5'6'' and 145. But people think i'm 120. My bones are really heavy and I don't look my weight at all. Check with your doctor if you wanna know your normal weight and height.
