My baby is almost two years old. He won't eat anything except for milk and fruit. He wears 12-month-old pants that fall down when he walks. How do I make him bigger?

I am going through the same thing, but now he's eating.... Thank you Lord.
I started giving him vitamins and we started experimenting with different foods. Give him pudding, ice cream, things that will make him gain weight. Also try that pediasure.

There is nothing you can do to make him bigger or make him eat. My 3 year old is tiny too ( when he was 2 he wore size 12 months and it too was falling off) and I as a big person have a hard time with that. The doctor told me everything was fine and that I didn't need to obsess about it. Find something he likes (besides fruit) and offer that ... My son ate hot dogs and Broccoli for quite a long time because that is what he would eat. Part of his lack of eating seemed to stem from a short attention span.... So we can't have any distractions when he is at meal time or he won't eat. Good luck I know it can be frustrating when little ones don't eat... The doctor always tells me that " he will eat when he is hungry", and he always does...

What does your doc say about how he is growing?

Don't offer him so much milk. Sometimes kids will drink so much milk that they won't eat anything else.

Talk to your doc about offering something like Pediasure instead of milk for extra vitamins and calories.

Offer foods with lots of good fats such as avocados.

Offer him a wide variety of healthy foods in reasonable, toddler sized portions. Make sure his snacks are healthy and pack a good nutritional punch.

Has your child's pediatrician expressed concern regarding his weight? First, I would make an appointment with the pediatrician to discuss his weight.

Have you tried Pediasure? They are drinks that have the nutrients and vitamins your child needs and a lot of young kids enjoy the taste. They have different flavors and are thick and creamy like a milk, so perhaps your son will like them?

you need to keep offering him different kinds of foods, and repeatedly trying to. It's time to taper off milk and get more solids food. Also, have consistent meal time, no snacks. Make sure meal time is about eating, no toys, no distractions. Some babies are just petite in nature, as long as he is proportional, you don't have anything to worry about. Their taste buds keep on changing too, another reason you just have to keep trying to let him try different foods.

Well dont start feeding him mcdonalds lol
start showing him a variety of healthy snacks and foods..
maybe he is bored with what you have given him...
make new tasty and flavorable snacks...
or ask your dr. about your other options, but if he is within his physical weight and height guidelines... maybe you should just buy some clothes that may fit him better/old clothes-smaller sizes..make it easy on your self...
Take Care.

Make him eat his meats... Even if he doesn't want them.. Don't give him the fruits until he eats the cut up chicken or whatever you want to give him.. He will not starve himself.... It might take a couple meals for him to get used to this, but in the end he'll fatten up a little bit.. Good luck to you

This is a concern you need to talk to his ped about. They can run blood work and make sure he is getting the proper nutrients. Kids can be all sizes, the weight doesn't matter, just their health
