Please don't generalize. Not all people make fun of him. I believe people criticize him, not make fun of him because of what we see the things are being done in his name. For example when the cartoons came out. Riots, property damage, and innocent people died over what a few people draw. That is one example of many reasons why people criticize him.
I personally believe he was a man who made many mistakes in his life, and wonder why the Muslim people pardon and make excuses for all the bad things he did in his life! Why do you put him above everyone! and you over look the harm he cause many in his life! May God have mercy on his soul, and forgive his sins.
Personally I think of him as a human being who came lived and died. I try not to criticize him, and hope God will forgive his bad deeds. May he rest in peace, even with all the death and wars that he lead, I still hope God will show mercy on him. Try not to be so sensitive, there is always going to be some people who will disagree with you and him. Peace to You.

Just read his life-story, and you'll see that he's making fun of himself (having more than one wife, agony, fear, fighting, hatred).
But let me ask you a contra-question: why do you muslims make fun of the jews 24 hours a day, all year long? Muslim TV-channels broadcast anti-semitic propaganda all the time. This brings a curse upon the Muslim world. And you complain if Mohammed is made a fool of a few times?
Try to be as the Christians, who didn't do anything when 'The life of Brian' (a very blasphemical movie) came out. As a Christian you don't care about such things, because God will judge those who do and say these things.

It goes both ways; some non-christians, including Muslims also make fun of our beloved Jesus.

Why do you cry like babies? Every religion is made fun of. Get over it. Mohammed is not special.

Oversimplication and ignorance.
God says in the holy Quran that none can believe except with His permission and that He puts a plight on "those who do not use their reason".
Without reason, there's no conscience, and without conscience, well for starters, one can never get out from ignorance.
God knows best.
Peace and Love.

Not all of us do that Noor. Only certain people do that. Maybe you can see it in another way, look how many people out there hates Jesus even though they don't know who is He, and He died for Us all anyway. Anyway, just ignore them! Peace and Love

Because he was a child-molesting scumbag. And his followers seem bent on strapping bombs to themselves and blowing themselves up, along with many innocent bystanders. All in the name of what? An imaginary sky pixie named allah.
Utterly pathetic.

What? You say Jesus was equal or less than Muhammad. You say our God is your god. You say works gets you to heaven not Christ. Seems to me you have it reversed. Christ came before Muhammad and your people twist everything to try and make people believe you have the truth. Well, I don't buy it.
