But hate it when it comes to sexual behavior?

And yes, All sex is behavioral.--It's the way one chooses to act out. Everyone has free will. Every sexual deviation from the norm is a behavioral choice. --Like S&M, being attracted to children, and cross dressing..
There is absolutely no way someone can prove that sexual deviation is genetic. I think the earliest one can trace it is in the womb, when too many hormones get in the bloodstream of the developing fetus, either way, something went "wrong". Also, there are factors of environment, traumatic encounters and upbringing.
I think it's very hypocritical how the left wouldn't dare to catagorize any other group with a genetic predisposition, besides the homosexual community
And what makes them so different from any other minority group, where you would say ALL environment attributes to behavior, hmm?

And just save your useless labels, I laugh at them. (And this atheist eats thumbs down, so bring it on)LOL..

there's a reason they're considered "flip-floppers" they roll with whatever they think the general population agrees with at the time, trying to get votes. I would like to know how abortion is legal, but if you kill a pregnant woman you get charged with 2 counts of murder. Next they should legalize all drug use, but make it illegal to sell or have it in your posession.

Wow.
Perhaps you could try and keep your rants on subject?
The word "choice" is used by people who believe the choice should legally be left in the hands of the woman carrying the baby.

By the way.....your statement would have a lot more power if you didn't contradict yourself.
First you say the liberals want to deem everything genetic, then you say the liberals wouldn't dare to categorize a group as having a genetic predisposition.....make up your mind.

Also, it's a lot more complicated then whether sexual behavior is genetic or learned.....too much for you though I think.....

I will leave you with this though.....sexual desires (not necessarily orientation) ARE linked to various developmental stages. And nothing had to go "wrong" for someone to desire something different than missionary style drudgery.

Me, I use choice to mean just that, choice. The choice to have a child, the choice to not have a child. I go farther, I add responsible to it. Heck I use choice about what I eat when I go to a restaurant.

Yet another person who doesn't know the difference between sexual orientation and sexual deviance.

Your right "There is absolutely no way someone can prove that sexual deviation is genetic". Most people in the medical community know the difference between orientation and deviation, you might want to read up on it or talk to two or three.

Environment does contribute to learned behavior. If you were a quarter as smart as you thought you were, you would know that.

Sexual preference comes from Hormones... or didn't you go thru puberty? You don't get to Choose who you fall in love with or who/what you are sexually attracted to.

Somewhat different when choosing to abort a child, don't you think?

And you do realize there are Conservatives out there that agree with Abortion, right? Such as President Bush's own wife........... There are Liberals out there who don't support Abortion. I'm not sure where either side gets this Conservative vs Liberal idea... we're all supposed to be Americans working together toward a better future... instead we've become Amatuer Politicians turning Political Parties into Religions and attacking our own neighbors.

I laugh at your poor attempt to make Homosexuality seem a choice by comparing it to Abortion and then blaming Liberals for how it comes out. And now I would like a little more proof that "something went wrong"... all because people like you don't have anything better to do than to sit around and think about what kind of sex everyone else is having.... How pathetic is that?

In case you didn't know this, the CHOICE whether to bear a child or not is not new.

Herbalists and wise women have known for centuries how to terminate a pregnancy. The methods used were often very very dangerous to the woman. The fact that women were/have been/are still willing to risk their lives in order to not bear a child ought to tell you something.

For a number of women, the choice to not bear children was made when they went onto birth control pills of had the IUD implanted or chose to use a cervical cap or whatever method they elected to prevent pregnancy. The choice was made THEN. Short of sterilization, though, no conception prevention method is 100% effective. And not all women choose to *never* bear children; they simply want to space them out of wait until they are ready and able to care for any children they may have.

Who do you think ought to decide if a woman ought to bear a child? The state? A religious group that one may not even be a member of?

i'd anticipate the religous to be impartial on the problem of abortion--their diety is by way of their own e book the magnificent abortionist of all time--through killing existence on a planetary scale he aborted the fetuses of any pregnant females. Now the wome were undesirable regardless of the indisputable fact that the fetus if human will be an innocuous--therefore both that deity ought to not evaluate the fetus to be human in the different case he would not have a difficulty with killing the innocuous.

Forgive me, but I'm having trouble understanding exactly what you are saying -
Is it that when they say that being a homosexual is not their fault because its genetic, and thats bunk?
If so, I couldn't agree more. I am not gay-bashing, I'm just saying that it is behavior - their choice;
I feel that everybody should be treated fairly, and that if someone has a problem with understanding how their body is supposed to work, and a psycological inability to choose a mate, that they should be given 100% paid help for counciling, group therapy, whatever they need to help them. It must be aweful to be that confused, and it must also be very scary for them.
For them to request us to just brush the problem under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist - and just pretend like its just another lifestyle decision is simply ridiculous, we can't do that.
But also we shouldn't do nothing; thats why i think there should be government fundiing to each and every one to get the help they need, and in an environment of respect and care, of course.

It makes them feel better about thinking abortion is okay. And then there's all the bullsh*t about woman's rights. But I see it like this... She had the right to open her legs. She chose to do so. And she got pregnant. Does it make it right to also give her the right to destroy that life? It's just a viscious cycle. Rape is different, though. She didn't get a choice. Therefore, she shouldn't have to live with the consequences. But honestly I have no idea what to say on the rest of your post. I'm not even sure what you're saying.

S&M and cross dressing are indeed "choices" and may be pre-dispositions. I'll give you that one even though there are strong arguements for and against what you wrote.

But sexual preditors are an abomination. Pedophiles are not the norm and should not be classified as a "Minority Group" as you've stated. Classifying a Pedophile is not a "useless label." People who sexually abuse (you wrote "attracted to" and this is an insult) children deserve to be labelled, classified, jailed, and ostricized.

Actually, what most liberals hate are closed-minded individuals who assume what they do or do not hate.

Or who assume that being pro-choice makes you automatically pro-murder. Being pro-choice is exactly that. The choice is there. You can have an abortion or you can choose not to.

As for deviant behaviors, think about what you are asking - why would ANYONE choose to live a lifestyle that would subject them to such riducule, outcast or harm?

While it may or may not be a genetic condition (implying that one could pass it on to his/her offspring) there most certainly IS a physical, chemical imbalance present in a lot of people who engage in such behavior.

As for nature vs. nurture - yes, you can provide the "correct" environment for "correct behavior" all you want. While it may help in the short term, at the end of the day, you can't fight the physical. Sorry. Perhaps you should do a little more research.

"Choice" and "Life" are euphemisms in the abortion debate. "Choice" is meant to highlight what is most important to people who support availability of abortions, while "Life" is meant to highlight what is most important to people who oppose the availability of abortions. If both sides were honest, we would have "Pro-abortion" and "Anti-abortion" stickers and t-shirts.

When people who oppose homosexual rights use the word "Choice," they are generally trying to portray homosexuality as an optional activity.

Many liberals defend the rights of women who feel they can not afford (spiritually, emotionally, socially, or economically) to be pregnant and to deliver the child. Many liberals also defend the rights of all people to express their love for whoever they love. The use of the word "Choice" in both debates does not settle either argument.

Don't you already know that?
