yeah, the sun adds some kind of vitamin to it which makes it a little lighter. but its not like your hair would turn from black to blonde it just gets a tint lighter. but it depends on how much your in the sun. also if your in chlorine a lot it will also make it lighter... people swim a lot in the summer so... that could be another reason.

It's not the seasons necessarily that makes a person's hair change. Someone who gets lots of sun exposure in the winter too would have lighter hair then. It's sun exposure that lightens your hair. Many people just get lighter and natural highlights, a really minor thing. So, it is a natural thing that your hair gets lighter, but it's because of sun exposure not just because the season changes.

Yes it does usually get lighter in the summer (well blonde shades mostly) because the sun is a natural bleach which takes the colour away from the hair.. I don't know how it gets darker in the winter, it just does..
And also the weather changes hair too, like the sun can make it more greasy or dry if you don't moisturise it and cold winters can damage it, also making it dry and split.

I believe the sun, and weather may have a stronger effect on each persons hair. Personally my hair gets lighter at the center and back of my head. Not at the roots, and I have never dyed my hair. Its been getting lighter over the years. What a person may use or put on there hair through out the year may have a part in it as well.
Take Care.

Well some peoples hjair does definitely. Most peoples is slightly lighter in the summer cos the sun bleaches your hair. I also find my hair is a lot more dry in the winter probably cos of central heating.

It does for me. I have brown hair and in the summer it gets a lot lighter because I'm in the sun a lot and go to the pool a lot. But in the winter it goes back to my darker brown color. So, yes. its true but i think you have to have more then average exposure to the sun for it to do anything.

some people like to cut their hair and color it for the fashion aspect some peoples hair can lighten in the summer usually due to chlorine or putting products in it or lemon juice it doesn't really do it on its own unless you are in the sun 24/7

My brother's hair dramatically changes, while mine just lightens a few shades. But my best friends' hair never changes color. So it may just depend on the color and how easily the color fluctuates.
