We find blood specks in his cage after he looses certain feathers. Is this natural? How can I stop it or help him if there is a problem?

he has a problem. kinda like a bordem problem. he will keep pulling his blood feathers till he kills himself! my latino cockatiel had the same problem. she was very shy & would not let any one pet her & pretty soon the other birds were helping kill her. i think you need to talk to a vet!
if he is in a cage with other birds put him in a cage by himself & when the problem stops put one bird in the cage with him & if it starts back up put him by hiself. if he is already by himself get another bird! it will keep his mind of of pulling the feathers!

The feathers it is pulling are called blood feathers. If he's doing it alot, then you need to take it to the vet to find out why
