no more so than any other animal... but still, I would try to clean them up...

I wouldn't make it a point to handle them too much. One thing to do with them: take the cricket droppings and mix them with water the mivture is GREAT for houseplants or your garden! It really works well for your plants. Try it.

Any droppings are hazardous to your health, because they breed bacteria.

What happen? I would say it won't kill you but if you became habituated then it might kill you in the long run.
