No, actually I've found I'm quite tolerant of those! It only drives me nuts if the toy is just sitting there still playing a tune when my daughter isn't playing with it anymore. Then I get annoyed and go shut it off or whatever. But other than that, it doesn't really bother me at all.

Oh she's had a few! The one that irritates me the most is the Dora bed time one. It says all these phrases in english and then repeats them in spanish. This doll is so sensitive that if you step on the floor too hard it goes off...there is no off switch either. I've seriously considered killing it once or twice...
The most annoying gift that my daughter got for Christmas though....moon sand. Who ever thought of this should be shot! It gets EVERYWHERE!!!

My kids have had tons of them over the years. Everytime a new one comes into the house, I immediately take the cover off so I can access the speaker and stuff it with a cotton ball or two.
Grandparents and ppl with out kids are notorious for buying noisy toys! LOL!

We have a Zoe who plays guitar, and since it is a few years old (hand-me-down) she only plays ONE SONG and then she laughs this breaking-glass high pitched giggle which is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. Luckily, my daughter seems to have moved on from this toy - now I must hide it quickly!!

I have learned how to tune all loud toys out!!! My husband will get so mad at them but I don't pay any mind. I guess that comes natural hearing the same toys over and over all day long!!!

~Yes, my daughter had a talking big bird. She carried that thing around by his neck everywhere she went. She learned how to flip the tape over and hear it all over again. I thought I would lose my mind at one point, but now I miss those times when she was little.~

Oh yes! Two things tend to happen in our house when it gets to that point. Either, it "disappears" for a few days, or the "batteries die" and it takes a couple of days to get to the store to buy new batteries, wink wink.

Hahaha. I think every parent has been there. Just take the batteries out "Uh-oh, little Timmy. The batteries are dead. How 'bout a coloring book instead?"
