I don't have a problem with interracial dating amongst a white man and a black woman, in fact I honestly could see myself dating a white man and I might just marry one someday. But that doesn't mean that I am against black men, but I like many black women today, just are understanding that the pickings are slim for black women if they want to be with a black man. Technically, we are already a minority, and if you are an educated black woman looking for a black man like yourself then you might be looking for a very long time. After sifting through the uneligible men(high school dropouts, unemployed, criminals, gay, likes white women only etc) there is not much to choose from. Black men have been dating outside their race for a while, I dont see why black women shouldn't. Oh, also I am not an angry black woman, Im just telling it like it is.

You mean like why some people prefer boxers to Rottweilers or Persian to Calico cats? Or that you think it would be so much easier to deal with the average American public while walking through a park; you a Black woman with a brown baby and your man a blond-haired, blue-eyed Dutch guy? You're approach to this is far too simplistic...the World is not nearly as open-minded about such things as you might think.
Try being a Black man walking with a White woman and see the looks and sneers you get from the average Black woman...it's tough out there!

I have absolutely no problem with interracial dating. Not all black women date white men, they also date Hispanics, Asians, American Indians and so forth. I also doubt they date White men or other men outside of their race because of "cute babies." I think Black women date other men outside of their races because they don't see their color, they see the love and respect they give them. Isn't that what a relationship is about? Also, just to let you know, Black men date out of their race too!

Here's my deal on this.

I have no problem with interracial dating that's done for the right reasons. What do I mean by that? Okay... here goes.

Dating a person because you find them attractive, interesting, compelling... because you could see yourself caring for them, or you already do.

When is interracial dating wrong? When it's based on stereotypes... like those white girls who want to date black guys because "they're hung"... or the occaisional black girl who dates a white guy because "black guys don't give oral".

These people don't realize it... but actually... they're not much better than racists. Dating based on the stereotypical views of an ethnicity is actually pretty sad.

I have no problem with it at all. I am in an interracial relationship and have 2 kids. There have been a few issues but I think that for the most part it has to do with the way someone is raised.( ex. my grandmother was raised with you date your race but she isn't racist it was how she was brought up. She love my kids father as her own and defends him to anyone...she had to i guess you could say grow up too, times have changed. I am very much excepted in his family as well. They have not once looked at me as a white girl being with a black man)

My neice is "white" (as in blonde hair, blue eyes, porcelain skin) and she is living with a black man (he has dark chocolate brown skin and has kinky curly hair). They just had a baby. My neice's mother thinks it's fine. My neice's father (no relation to me) is completely racist. This bugs me.
I am bi-multi-racial. I have an Arab father and an Eastern European mother. I am, obviously, fine with interracial anything, really. As long as the couple realizes that there will be all types of flack from people, and flack is unavoidable, if they love eachother, I see no harm.
I hope this helps.
Good luck and peace....

I think it's a good idea to date and treat people as who they are, not their skin color, not their ethnic background, not their taste in wine vs beer.

A person may find they are attracted to certain types of people, but that's something different. Once you are attracted to someone, just deal with that person.

When my wife started dating me, she had a bachelors degree and I was still in school. She didn't date me because I was more highly educated and certainly not because my skin color was white. She fell in love with me and I fell in love with her. We certainly didn't get married because of how we thought the kids would look. They are beautiful though.

We started dating 30 years ago. We live in the deep south. Compared to then, it's not even noticed now days.

My sons best friends mother is black and dad is white. Both are the nicest people I've met. I dont think you marry because of anything other than love. They do make beautiful babies though but I don't think someone would marry just to make goodlooking kids. I wouldn't. It wouldn't last.

people can date whoever they want...it's all about love.

I am Indian (frm India) and my bf's English..as in from England...and we love each other very much. It's all about the love. I dont see him as white or someone else. He's just my bf to me. A unique person. And he feels the same way too.

All about the love!

And btw I dont give a damn about what people think when they see us together. And yes, interracial babies are exoctic and hawt. hehe

-much love

As long as respect and attraction are there, I think its perfectly great.

I only object to interracial dating when one person or another has less concern for the other because of race. (Some people date but for example, consider it temporary because of race considerations, for example.)

P.S. I've done it. In the end, dating is dating. For better and for worse.

P.P.S My feelings of this are the same whatever racial combinations you come up with and whichever sex is whichever race.
