I have a huge bump in my nose and I really dislike it. I know if I got it taken care of I would have more confidence and feel much better about myself. But, I don't want to have to go through the pain of going under the knife. I have been told that they have doctors who will just break the nose and reset it so the bump goes away is this true? Has anyone ever had this done or know of someone who has? Or can anyone share there experiences of rhinoplasty? Also, I think my insurance might cover a good portion of the surgery if not the whole thing because due to the bump in my nose and my nose being so big I have sinus problems and am unable to breathe properly. My nose is always so stuff and I don't breathe clearly.

Well I think they can break it with out a knife but if it is to remove a bumb they have to shave it down under a knife. I have a had 2 rhinoplasies as a result of an accident and I think they only used a knife in the first one. Both hurt pretty bad but it was more the pain of the broken bones then the cutting. That part is minor compared to having your nose broken. If you have sinus problems then you should go ahead and do it because if it gets worse they will have to go in and drain your sinuses with a knife anyway.

I don't know what country you are from but in Canada my surgery was covered, well obviously because I broke it and then later because it was crooked. My doctor didn't charge anything to make my nose nicer while he was in there. It is the hospital charge and the antistetic that cost you anyway, if they change extra to remove the bumb it shouldn't be much.

I just wanted to add that, though I am a bit sceptical about needless plastic surgery, a new nose really did give me a lot of confidence, not that it was that bad but jsut that slight change realy softened my features.

There are for a hooked nostril, they only insert a difficulty on the ideal to flatten the form out. they don't would desire to decrease something different than the small incision. i don't think of you may want to be "positioned out" with anaesthetic. yet to your case i think of they'd desire to get rid of the "bumps" with surgical technique.
