Asylum seekers yes,immigrants i,m not sure.Where i live the immigrants have overtaken in wealth.All the expensive cars ,houses, half decent small businesses,jobs,certainly white collar jobs, these are taken by the new wealthy generation of immigrants and therefore must be paying the most in tax.Should they decide to up and leave Pakistan could be the new Saudi Arabia with the wealth they have and are accumulating.There's something that just doesn't seem right in encouraging the country's wealth to leave.

A single male immigrant will get approximately £35 per week plus accommodation costs and council tax paid for. Once they are recognised as an illegal immigrant waiting for a decision, they are entitled to health care. The DWP takes over their cases rather than the local council, which is why a lot of them are moved to areas of high empty council properties. The local council has no access to these properties after this. The DWP take over and decide where they will live. Sod you if you are sat on the housing list in that area. After this they are free to work in the black economy. When a recession comes, which it will, they will all take the money home with them leaving the locals to pick up the pieces. Sub standard housing, poverty wages and a bankrupt NHS. Thank you New Labour!.

In per capita terms, probably one of the Benelux countries.
The UK is not number one in being generous and caring, but is is not the tightest in the world either.

Are we not the only country that has a "benefits" system and free healthcare for all.........possibly the reason why we receive so many illegal immigrants everyday......
