Most recipes for steak etc advise to use beef, but what cuts of other meats can i use instead?

Some people have no imagination :-)
Similar to Chateaubriand... Use turkey thighs. I have had "turkey-briand" and it was delicious. In Munich, turkey and pork have replaced most of the beef in what was previously beef dishes due to Mad Cow disease.

The problem you have is not just the beef but the sauce also.
Chateaubriand is a cut of beef from the tenderloin
Chateaubriand Sauce is a sauce using demi-glace which is derived from beef- actually veal -bones
The closest you could get would be a pork tenderloin but that would make a demi-glace based sauce completely incongruous to the pork so you would have to use a green peppercorn sauce instead.

This is a continuation of God's law since Noah and family left the Ark. Likewise too,though it is not possible to remove every molecule of blood from animal flesh--then and for the most part today, God's law meant showing respect for the value God placed on the blood. We would then properly get all the blood removed that we can reasonably do. I prefer "well-done" meat myself.

I know how it will sound... but if you can find it Emu tastes exactly like beef... was supposed to be the wave of "new beef" line that was reportedly going to hit the market between the mid and late 90's. Unfortunately, it didnt quite make it. Nevertheless, Emu is the closest tasting to beef without being beef.

There are alot of meat substitutes at grocery store, check near the produce section, You can get meatless meatballs, burgers, or just get extra firm tofu, You can season this and brown it like meat. Or just use the meatballs, burgers whatever and cruble and add to your recipe. Soy and tofu are the usuall choices.

I'm not sure whether you don't eat the beef because your Vegetarian or you just don't like the taste??? but one great way and this works with burgers to take a Lipton beef or Vegetable soup mix add about 1/4 cup water to it and marinate your turkey breast in it over night. for burgers just put the mix right into the turkey burger Optional to add a egg to hold it together better!!!!!!! You could try a pork tenderloin instead...I don't know, you are totally taking away the whole recipe without the beef.

Chateaubriand is a specific cut - actually when cut further, it's where filet mignon comes from.

Filet mignon and Chateaubriand are prized for their tenderness, but regrettably they have very little flavor, hence they are usually sauced or wrapped in bacon or whatever. Most decent chefs don't think much of filet mignon -expensive and flavorless.

If you're looking to make an impressive meat dinner, consider a standing rib roast - a prime rib with a ton of flavor. Still pricey, but at least you get flavor to go with it.

You cant, Chateuabriand is unique, like saying you want to make rice pudding with tapioca.

hi chef dekann warri speaking this recipe will go with fillet of lamb or the wrack will be fine but the fillet will be cheaper by
