Just apologise to eachother and join forces?

It's healthy for a religion to have diverse branches of belief, it has been happening ever since Christianity started. Most Catholics and Protestants get on well, however it is unlikely that they will merge into one branch of practice because there are several key differences that would make this difficult. And 'join forces' against whom, exactly?!

Many, many, many Roman Catholics and Protestants work together for the betterment of mankind--every single day. They see no need for either to apologize for practicing their religion as they see fit. It's only the petty elitists, believing that there "can be only one!" true religion, that are afraid of their neighbors because they practice a different Christianity than their own.

Both protestants and catholic joins force against the real Christian. It was already prophesized.

Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Religion is all about differences and exclusivity, not about our common humanity. The only way they would join together would be is there was a common external threat, such as widespread militant Islam.

Because it's not about "wrongs done" in the past - it's about Orthodoxy (Right Belief) - and that will never be settled until we find ourselves in Heaven.

Maybe they have in the sense that they agree that there is One Lord One Faith and One Baptisim. No matter how you see it or call it; there is only One.
