God Bless you honey. I've struggled with that all my life. Since you love God with all your heart, and do know the power of prayer you will be just fine. Just continue to pray for help with faith, I have to constantly but I am happy that I do know God is real and did send his Son to save us.
Peace to you.

Maybe you should consider looking into some other churches. Attending a service or two at several different churches might give you a greater understanding of what others believe and help you to find a church that is right for you.
I would specifically suggest attending a Unitarian Universalist church, at least a couple of times to see what it's like. I think they espouse a philosophy similar to your idea that no one faith is exact. I do know that they are tolerant, accepting and welcoming of ALL faiths.
Good luck on your path.

I have the same problem (organized religion). I too don't believe that any one faith is exact. I don't think people in the church understand that I don't do what you do but I believe as you do. The church I went to they want you to jump around, shout, and all of that stuff. I don't do that, but that doesnt mean I dont feel the same as you do. And that is the main reason I stopped going to church. I don't like to be instructed like im in the army.

first, there are no perfect churches. Every church has certain strengths and certain weaknesses. If you know the power of prayer, then simply ask God to lead and guide you.
second, remember that giving is more blessed than receiving. where you can use your talents? what church can you belong to where you don't just sit there like a holy lump on a log but there are opportunities for involvment - teaching sunday school ,volunteering in the kitchen, leading a bible study, organizing the young people, etc.
third, remember the maxim: "in essentials, there is unity; in non-essentials, diversity; in all things - charity ( or love)". If you can agree with the basics of a church's doctrine, then you can fellowship with them, even though you don't agree with them on every point.
fourth, remember the other principle: growing in christ is like sitting on a three-legged stool. all three legs must be there or else you'll get off balance, maybe take a real fall. The three legs are: bible study, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. all three need to be there to grow as christ wants us to grow. meeting with other believers is very important in our spiritual walk. we receive encouragment, support, and sometimes correction from the body of christ. also we learn patience and compassion!
please email me if you want to discuss more. i'd be glad to talk with you.
god bless

For 2 1/2 months I prayed for the Lord to plug me in a Divine Church and finally He did when I least expected it. It is non-denominational but full of the Holy Spirit. I'm still in awe about it and ever so thankful! Praise His Holy Precious Name.

Drop the 'lord', drop the church, drop believing in fairy tales. Rely on yourself, on your own intelligence, on your own personal power. Educate yourself or go to a University. Read lots and lots of books and learn as much as you can. Organized religion is mostly a means to collect money from people. If you want to do some good in the world, just help the people around you, or join a cause like Greenpeace, SPLC, the United Way, the March of Dimes, support the ACLU, give to the GoodWill, or join Habbitat for Humanity, there are literally hundreds of good groups that help people all over the world. You don't need some religion which is nothing more than mythology with its hand out asking you for money.

To love the Lord you must know Him. To kow Him you need to find out who He really is. What does a person know about God except from His 'Word, the Bible?
Other than this book which claims to be His inspired word, we have only various and conflicting opinions. Even WITH the Bible, many who don't understand what God is saying form opinions. As Jesus told the religious people during His time on earth:
Mark 7:6-8
6 He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
"'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.'
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."
(from New International Version)
If you want to grow "stronger in the Lord", spend more of your time reading the Bible, pray, asking God to reveal Himself to you, and practice being obedient to His commands.

You might just want to change churches to a church that shares your veiws on the subject.
You may have different ideas, but that does not mean that you are not erm....*strong* in the Lord.
