I want to purchase an LCD HDTV, but when I go to the store they are telling me I need a bunch of other stuff to go with it that will be an additional 1500.

I have a regular direct t.v. box and i want to buy a LCD HDTV. The store is telling me I need an adapter so that when I uprgrade my direct t.v. box to the flat panel t.v. is will play the hd and I also need to pay 399 to have someone install it in my house. Can someone just break down exactly what I need for my t.v.

Please Help!!!

There are definitely needed accessories to make sure you are getting HD. Keep in mind that if you are not in a contract with Direct TV, you can switch to someone like dish who offers about 20 more HD channels than Direct. You will also be entitled to a new HD receiver under their new promotion. I can give you more details on this if you would like. Email me at a.taylor@onsitesat.com if you are interested. I can also get you the cables needed to hook up HD for about half the cost.

to install a HD tv you can still watch it without the hd source, but it is a crappy picture...you need to go hd satellite, or order hd tv from your tv provider
