I've never really had a problem with this before but in the past few days I've been feeling uncomfortable from stomach acid. I get full faster when I eat and my appetite has decreased. I have just gotten over a stomach bug...could this be a reason for extra acid in my system? I'm just skeptical because this has seemed to come on all of the sudden.

Probably just need to stay away from big meals until your system gets back to normal Acid reflux is caused when you eat to much and your stomach can't handle it and it kinda backs up into your throat, yuck. Try eating small meals for awhile and stay away from coffee or anything spicy.

If you've just gotten over a stomach bug (nasty things!), you probably will need a little time to get your appetite back. And yes, it might even account for the feeling of extra acid. Try eating mild things for a while.

If you are really concerned, get it checked out.

Good luck!

Since you just got over a stomach bug, it's probably from the bug, same reason for your loss of appetite. In the meantime, use an antacid like Tums. If it's not gone in a few days, see your doctor. Feel better:)

Here's are links to info on acid reflux:
http://www.medicinenet.com/gastroesophageal_reflux_disease_gerd/article.htm

Its best to do some research, get as much information as you can that way you're better informed and probably can draw an intelligent conclusion. However what you will have is just an opinion, not a sure thing. To know exactly what the problem is I suggest you check with a doctor.

GERD - gastroesophageal reflux disease is a condition in which the liquid content of the stomach regurgitates (backs up, or refluxes) into the esophagus. This site has a lot of info on it about GERD. Hope it helps.
