Yikes, that sounds like schizophrenia. I would definitely have him seen by a competent psychiatrist right away!

When he hears voices that is a sign right there that he needs help. My LATE brother in law was a good guy too and he was smart and had a very good head for numbers so to speak but that doesn't change the fact that he too heard voices and the voices eventually won and he commited suicide because the voices told him to. He always thought he was stronger than the voices but guess what?????? He wasn't. What part of "your son hears voices please get him the help he needs" didn't you understand? Not trying to be rude but I have seen what happens when people tend to hear voices and they really do need some help.

It sounds to me like he is smart. My oldest son used to tell me that it was a ghost that hit his younger brother. . . .even when I would catch him red handed. Kids are really smart these days. You are also smart though in being concerned. Keep up the good work Mom. I only wish they would all come with handbooks or user's manuals. Email me if you ever want to just have someone listen and bounce ideas off of with a nonjudgmental listening ear.

Please still get him help. It doesn't mean hes a bad child at all. And if hes telling you that the devil 'talks' to him,that might be his way of asking for help.Even if it has only happened a time or 2,he needs help.

You need to take him to see a psychiatrist right away. Call your pediatrician now to get a referral ASAP.
