Well I live in NY. I go to the city once and a while to clubs and all the girls I meet are like the dumbest people in the world, like seriously, they are pretty and all, but they probably don't know what 2+2 is. It just sucks around the holidays not having anyone there. I need a girlfriend and someone that actually wants a relationship! Not just sex! Why am I attracting these kinda girls? I dress pretty preppy. Jeans and a nice dress shirt for the most part. Is that a reason?

It is not about what you look like but the places that you are looking. Why not take some part time course at the local community college or university. Find a hobby or go to a gym. You will find the kind of person that has the same interests as you and is not interested in spending all day primping and preening to pose around a bar.

Find some other interests. Go to places that other intellectual people would go to. NYC is amazing as far as museums and parks and coffee houses, and live music in coffee bars. You are lucky! Clubs dont sell you like they should. You need to market yourself, and be around others that are more like you. When the right person will come along, it will be when you least expect it. Spend more time working on yourself, fine tuning your self. Do some volunteer work, take a language class. The more you expose yourself (advertise) to the rest of the world, and are out, the better your odds are. Online dating is good too. But, the more expensive ones are better than the free ones! Women in NY always complain that there arent enough guys, so get out there, get some exposure, and love will come your way, in time! Good Luck!

If you attract dumb girls, it may be the way you dress, but it is more likely your demeanor. Often we attract that which interests us. It may be that simple. Otherwise, it could be because you are going to clubs. LOL!!! What do you expect to find in a club??? Most of the girls that go there just want to get laid by some "preppy guy." If you want a girlfriend, search in respectable places. The girls in the clubs are for sleeping with!

You are not attracting dumb girls. You are CHOOSING dumb girls because they look pretty. We often tend to be attracted to the same type of person. Therefore we end up in the same situations constantly. In order to change the type of women you are with you, you have to change some of what it is that you look for. For starters STOP meeting women in clubs!! There are beautiful women everywhere. The library, the gym, school, etc.....

Sadly, the girls you meet have no life and are so desperate they hang out in clubs to attract a man. It's hard to find "Mr. or Mrs. Right" in today's world. I suggest you join a dating club where your interests are matched to someone close to ideal for you. You also can view their photo before contacting them. My sister just recently became engaged to the man she met through a dating club. Good luck!

You probably need to hang around a bookstore more- or libarary- or even better if you want to meet someone nice go volunteer at soup kitchens and volunteer events because the people their are caring. Sounds like the girls you attract- while being hot, may be shallow and stupid. Most girls are shallow, so the next time you look for one, when you talk to her, see if shes truely interested in you or others- or is she just interested in herself. Thats a sure way to realizing what shes truely like.

dumb girls know smart guys anywhere and they want to be with smart guys because it covers how dumb they her . and you dont go to club to find nice and smart people because they are probab ly not there, go to the library or some other place except for club. the thing is that even if there's a smart person in that club she might be drunk and all that smartness will just go away so you dont know the difference. so my advice is go somwhere else for girls you appreciate more.

It is probably the places that you are going to find a girl, I don't think it has anything to do with the way you dress. Try going to clubs near college campuses and there may be more intelligent girls around there. Good Luck to you

I don't think the way you dress has anything to do with it. Most likely it's WHERE you're meeting these girls. You're going to clubs/bars to look for women...what kind of women do you really expect to meet there?

because you will never meet someone decent in a club, unless you bring them there yourself. thats what i think anyway. and anyway youre probably looking too hard for someone.
