Depends on what age group you are refering to...........but as I see it, the girl next door is what guys want, they just don't know it. Hense the phrase, the girl next door. You often don't see what is right under your nose. The girl of your dreams could be next door, yet guys go out looking.

Nowhere. The girl-next-door"stereotype was a measure of standards.
The girl-next-door was a nice girl,didn't smoke,drink or use bad language and make out with every guy she knew or met.
Todays girl isn't like that,except in rare instances.

I prefer to think of the "girl-next-door" as the kind of girl that Alicia Silverstone played in "The Crush". You know what I mean, vulnerable, innocent, horney and crazy as all hell. This is why I don't date any girl that lives next door to me. At least 2 houses down is the standard rule..Maybe we should change it to the "Girl-two-doors-away" rule?

From what I know a "girl-next-door" nowadays would be the girl who's the most friendliest, with a nice,cheerful smile, someone who's helpful , down to earth, alil shy & simple.
