each one complete and whole and workable with amicable financial set ups each time and happy kids no maytter what. Would you vote for variety?
So that is three awesome lovers instead of one. Each marriage would be about 20 years in length.
Is it predicatble that men will answer this question differently then women?

candidworker: you are speaking from an old fashioned and very VERY female paradigm that is not allowing you to even consider 3 happy marriages.....
you sound that way to me anyway!

Id honestly prefer 3 very good marriages. Im extremely happy in my marriage, but I think if each marriage was happy, and NONE ended bitterly- Then it would be intriguing to learn completely about 3 different individuals. I know this may not be the typical answer for women- but happiness is happiness. I think my husband would choose 3 happy marriages too.

It depends on the couple but on a broad sense it is better to have a period of time before committing oneself to a lifetime of marriage People do change and no matter how long you date or are engaged you can still come up blindsided into a unhappy marriage

One.
There would always be something you'd miss about your previous marriages, no matter how great the future ones would be. The greatest happiness would be a consistent happiness.
And you can get decent variety in your life with just one marriage partner...

If it's true love and happiness then it will be with just that one person if you feel the need to have 3 great marriages then its not love or happiness.

I'm male and 20 years is a long time to invest in someone. I wouldn't be able to go from A to B to C right away.

I'm with my first love and he'll be my only. I don't see myself with no other. So the answer is one fantastic marriage, which already is.
