Yes, it's normal. Why do you feel that way? I think you've answered the question yourself ...
Good luck in the new year.

well a lot of people take this time of year to reflect on their lives and their goals. Most people say they will quit smoking or lose weight, but others decide on issues like getting a new job, leaving a no good man/woman, and looking deep within ourselves to improve our state of mind. It could self esteem issues or just getting the courage to make big changes that will affect our lives tremendously.
Feeling depressed about your situation only lets you know that you are not happy and that you must make a change to be happy. It may hurt for a while but it would better down the road. A window closed on your ex-bf so that a new door will open.
Good luck on the start of your new life and new year .

Sometimes when you reflect on the past year you may feel that you haven't done as much as you thought you would have by this point. Then you will feel down in the dumps because you feel you may not in the new year either. Keep your goals in front of you and not behind, look forward and by all means keep up the prayer. God is always there to help you out in the low valleys.

i believe my life would have turned out better if my parents didnt move to a boring town and move me here and there, but life is about the future and what you can do with it in time to come. so think about what you can do instead of what you have done. although keep it as a learning experiance.

Try some auto suggestion, suggest your mind to obey your orders. Say repeatedly that you are happ then you will become happy. Try this out then every day will be a new day and every year will be a new year.

think it's normal. the holidays just magnify everything because on these days, you should be feeling ecstatic--as advertised. holidays are always associated with happiness but come to think of it, holidays are not exceptions to any kind of sadness.
