Dear mi55y. I also think like that. I can help you. If they want to solve the problem with you and you cannot do anything then just listen and know their problems. Maybe someone other told them about their weight or maybe they want to look more beautiful loosing weight or they want someone love them ;).

Depends if they are really depressed or looking for attention or both. If they really are depressed in a bad way be very careful how you handle it. But if they're just looking for attention, stop being such a captive audience.

If someone is genuinely depressed about something that isn't true, it's usually to mask something that they really do have a problem with that they find too difficult to talk about. You say they go on about their life - are they moaning about the present or the past? Try to have a heart to heart and listen to what they say and how they say it and if you're scared of saying or doing the wrong thing, suggest they see their doctor and ask for a referral.

How about pulling out some photio's of them in a group and comparing size and shape? Maybe their issue is a certain part of their body or a symptom of something else that is wrong in their life. If you have the time and the energy to help them try to get them talking and find out what the real problem is, otherwise advise them to join weight watchers on line. WW has a really good forum where people can talk about what makes them feel fat, and find like minded people to listen to them.

Ooooh dear that sounds rather tiresome. That is a lot of work to get out of there isn't a huge amount that you can do if the person is determined that they are overweight. Pip them to the post with compliments like "you look great today" and if the weight/life conversations drag on a bit switch subjects!

take them to weight watchers and let them tell her(be ready to run fast)
or suggest she goes to the doctor to see if theres something wrong thyroid thats making her fat and while shes there tell the doctor about the problem, he will be able to suggest help/ healthy eating plans and suitable exercise plans

This could be the first step to an eating disorder. I would try to get the friend to seek professional help and support him/her through this.

Agree with then for a short while, and see their face change. If theh look shocked that you agree then they dont believe it and are just doing it for sympathy. Reverse psychology rocks!
