Yes, turn up JUST in time looking like you travel busines class all the time. So that's around £5k worth of clothes each, £2k worth of suitcases (small), make more money than god..them you might be in with a chance.
If you get there early you WILL get the seats you paid for...
B.A. are not known for overbooking - so don't do many upgrades out of necessity.

My brother in law is a captain for British airways, and he finds it really really hard to get upgrades for his own family at times, so i dont recon you have any chance.

The thing is that the Business and First Class seats are just too profitable so it is unlikely that you would be upgraded. Just remember to try it at the hotels you are staying in though they may throw in some extras.

probably, as long as you are not flying to the Maldives, when everyone on the plane is just married!!! so no chance!
Apparently you have more luck if you are going somewhere which isn't a particularly honeymoon type destination. My friends got upgraded to First class going to Spain, and others going to Egypt.

Just say you're a personal friend of Captain 'X' (make up a name) and he said to ask you (the check in clerk) to see if you might be able to get two seats up front.
It depends on how full the plane is, but I tried it twice when I flew to Boston and back from New York this summer and got upgraded twice :)

Prior to flying, divorce your wife, find a younger woman, and marry her.
