There's a really cool camera I'm bidding on and I don't think the lady selling it is all about the money thing. If I were to use the "contact seller" option and ask her to simply sell it to me for a price, does she have the ability to stop the auction and do so?
Thank you!
Ps. Please respond before I get outbid! lol

Absolutely - the Seller can end an auction at any time, even if it has bids! I would say get in there quick, as you mention, if someone else goes in and outbids you - she may become more interested in letting the Auction run to the end.

She doesnt really need to explain why she ends the auction early either, for example she could just use the option "Item no longer for sale". hint - hint. ;)

I will admit, it is against EBay rules (but thats only as THEY get commission on Auctions that end with bids, as apposed to an auction that ends early)! But people do do this !
Also it is a pain for others why are interested in the auction as they miss out - but it's at the Sellers descretion.

All the best, and I hope it's not the same Camera that I have my eye on! haha. joke. :D

Ending an auction early would be against Ebays rules. If you really want it you will have to bid accordingly.

There are many protection features set in place to assist you in case the auction is bugged. If you but outside of Ebay you could get burned.

Yes sellers can end auction early. You can at least ask.

If no one has bid on the item she can stop it.
Also if no one has bid on the item then you can select the "Buy Now Option" and the sale ends immediately.
