ok come on now people... can you make a substitute for eggs whie making french toast

choose from any of these:
2 tbsp corn starch = 1 egg
2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg
2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg
1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg
1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg.
1 banana = 1 egg in cakes

If you are worried about cholesterol you can use just the white part or use Egg Beaters.(Buy in the store in a carton). If you just dont like eggs, you cant really taste them when using for breading or in french toast. Another substitute may be buttermilk. Someone suggested eggnog, but if you are allergic, this contains eggs.

French toast is french toast and if you make it with something else then it is not french toast.

Experoment and find something that tastes good and you might have the next fad.

probably not. you can try with just coating the bread with milk, and some oil or butter in your pan. it won't taste exactly the same, but it will be edible and probably taste ok.

ummmmmmmm....just milk doesn't seem it'd work...i think eggs are essential...but i'll be watching to see what someone else suggests
