have you tried eardrops for wax buildup? those would be safe to use, and it may be wax that the sound is bouncing off of,,,,, otherwise, contact your doctor, as it also might be high blood pressure,,,,,,,,

Tinnitis does not have to be a ringing in the ear. What I hear is as described, my heart beat/blood rushing, and has been diagnosed (and verified with 2nd opinion) as tinnitis. As the others have said, though, I would have the doctor check this out to be sure it isn't elevated blood pressure or another condition related to or a danger to the pregnancy. During the day, I keep the t.v. or radio on all the time. At night I sleep with a box fan and I even have a little fan I use when we travel. lol There have been times I've thought I was going to go insane from the noise so I sympathize! After the baby is born, if it is tinnitis, there are several options available for relief, including some beta-blockers and diaretics (maybe not advisable if breast-feeding). I've read something about bio-feedback for it before but personally have no experience with it. Best of luck with the baby!!

Tinnitus is not cureable so the only thing you can do is use a noise machine such as a white noise machine to help mask aka drown out the noise. Hopefully the tinnitus will go away for you once the baby is born but many times tinnitus is permanent.

Not normal, ringing in the ears is something completely different, but hearing your heartbeat could indicate high blood pressure which you do not want especially in later pregnancy as it also could be a sign of toxemia, go in and get this checked and have them also check your urine for protein. Like today.

Please see your doctor.

I'm concerned that if you're hearing your heartbeat in your ear, you may be hypertensive. Your doctor NEEDS to look at you and make sure that this isn't something serious. You're looking at a very strenuous activity very soon, so going into it with possible hypertension is a bad idea.

Go. Doctor. Now.

if you're sleeping on your side, try sleeping on your back and not pressing on your ear.
I agree with bill. if you're hearing this and aren't pressing on your ear (sleeping on your side) then you should see your doc, especially being pregnant. could be hypertension.
tinnitus is usually described as a "ringing" in the ear. its a different story and can be a pain to put up with, but it isn't necessarily of any medical consqequence. it can be caused by taking aspirin or other meds, or from listening to loud music or loud sounds-

there is no permanent cure

Not much you can do there beyond maybe getting a sound machine to drown it out.
Stopping it any other way wouldn't be wise. : (

Call up the hospital and tell them you need to speak to an audiologist and it's urgent because you are pregnant.
