Around 1800, William Smith in England, who was a canal surveyor, noticed that he could map out great tracts of rocks on the basis of their contained fossils. The sequences he saw in one part of the country could be correlated (matched) precisely with the sequences in another. He, and others at the time, had discovered the first principles of stratigraphy -- that older rocks lie below younger rocks and that fossils occur in a particular, predictable order.
Then, geologists began to build up the stratigraphic column, the familiar listing of divisions of geological time -- Jurassic, Cretaceous, Tertiary, and so on. Each time unit was characterized by particular fossils. The scheme worked all round the world, without fail.
From the 1830s onwards, geologists noted how fossils became more complex through time. The oldest rocks contained no fossils, then came simple sea creatures, then more complex ones like fishes, then came life on land, then reptiles, then mammals, and finally humans.

There are thousands of global flood legends around the world, even with the Native Americans, New Zealand Maoris and Australian Aborigines. They have many striking similarities. This makes perfect sense, because all people are descended from eight people who did survive a global Flood.
A recent Nature article on spontaneous multi-layer formation shows that the secular journals have finally caught up with the creationary scientists, who published evidence like this 10 years ago — so much for the bigoted evolutionists’ claim that “creationists do no scientific research.” See the CENTJ article, “Sedimentation experiments: Nature finally catches up”.
The type of rocks that you find fossils in are sedimentary.
If you go to the top of the mountains in Herkimer NY you will find seashells fosilized in rocks these mountains were under water as the water level droped so did the silt and the sea life into the silt
There is NO evidence ever of a fossilized creature being caught in the mist of an evolutionary state. Changing from a fish to a mammal.
What was really amazing was they found a T Rex that still had red blood cells in it and there is no way cells could last millions of years without breaking down. This was an incredible find!
I recomend you read some more, the artice above or

There are 3 heaven and earth ages, same heaven and earth but different ages.
II Pet.3:5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
……………………………………….
THE WORLD THAT THEN WAS
Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
To that earth age the world that then was, belongs all fossils and remains. Scientific estimates or guesses; universe or heavens 20 billion years old, earth 4.6 billion years old, moon 200 to 300 million years younger than earth, dinosaur extinction 65 million years ago, Ice Age 2.5 million years ago.
………………………………………………………………
BEING OVERFLOWED WITH WATER PERISHED
Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
AND THE EARTH WAS
The word “was” (hayah) in Hebrew, was not distinguished by the Revisers, that is the verb “to be” from “to become”. The same Hebrew word “hayah” is translated “became” in Gen.2:7.
AND THE EARTH BECAME
WITHOUT FORM H8414 tohu (to'-hoo) From an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), that is, desert; figuratively a worthless thing; adverbially in vain: - confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.
VOID H922 bohu (bo'-hoo) From an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, that is, (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: - emptiness, void.
AND THE EARTH BECAME DESOLATE AND EMPTY
Earth was not created that way but became desolate and empty due to Satan’s rebellion. A global overflowing of water, but not Noah’s deluge. Darkness was upon the (face) of the deep, in other words the whole earth.
Into this we can read; dinosaur extinction, destruction of Atlantis, breakup of Gondwana Land, and the Ice Age.
………………………………………………………………………...
BUT THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH WHICH ARE NOW
Gen.1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen.1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
About 63 A.D. Peter writes, the heavens and the earth which are now. The heaven and earth age we are in now, today.
BY THE SAME WORD ARE KEPT IN STORE
RESERVED UNTO FIRE
AGAINST THE DAY OF JUDGMENT
AND PERDITION OF UNGODLY MEN
PERDITION G684 apoleia (ap-o'-li-a) From a presumed derivative of G622; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): - damnable (-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.
Some will perish eternally and not see the third heaven and earth age.

Look the bible is a book of claims, god said gold is good and is it not, there are so many claims in the bible that the god fearing public make these claims come alive by accepting them as truth. Like who ever asks why is gold so valuable, in the first chapter of the bible where god explains the rivers that flow from the garden of Edan one river end at a place and there is gold and god said gold is good. So do you see?

It follows right along with the order of creation.
Looks like scientific proof to me that the bible is accurate about man's beginning.
