On the show "Sell this House" they provide estimates of each room after they fix it up to get it ready to show...those estimates seem REALLY low to me. Does anyone know what they are basing it on? For example, when they paint a room and rearrange furniture, are they only calculating the cost of paint, and not calculating in the other items needed, like tarp, brushes, pans, etc.?

I believe they are only counting the cost of the paint, because in theory the brushes/tarps have already been purchased. They are in essence sunk costs and should not be born by the person who's room is being painted on that particular show.

They are also not counting what the labor would actually cost if you hired someone to paint that room.

They do create amazing transformations on that show. And I think Tanya Meme is the cutest darn TV host ever! Love her!
