These are translations from few of my fellow soldiers in Iraq including my self. Last entry: March 8 2005-Iraq: "Many things have happened since my departure. From kaos to missery. I get force from the thinking in a better future. Lokking toward for a time of peace, a time of pation, a time of love. Even when my days here are far to finish, I feel that the worst is already gone. Everything is like going down the hill. Why do I feel like that? Is clear that here is some time of fighting... I guess is the idea to go back home, to you... even for a short time... had relieved me from the majority of my problems and worries. Weird, Isn't?" This was the last entry of the Puerto Rican soldier Francisco Martinez to his girlfriend Mariela. Francisco died on March 20, 2005 in Iraq. I met him in Afghanistan in April 2005 in a patrol we made together his platoon. Happy guy and always thinking on coming back to marry his girlfrien to make a family to move back to Puerto Rico from Texas.

This is a translation from my cousin, Angel Otero: Last entry November 10,2005: "Hi mom, the following is to tell you I'm doing OK. I been talking with Javier (that's me, we were in the same platoon) that I'll be having a pass for 1 week in January, starting ti 10, I'm planning to go to Puerto Rico to see you and to see dad. I'll try to get few things from over here. Some times I feel scare, last week I saw few kids dead and a partner from another platoon was killed, an American guy, we felt so sorry for his lost, I met him few times and he was a good guy, he was from North Carolina, pray for him in the same way you do for me and for Javier, and for all of us, next week we have programed a mission near by Bagdad, is suppose to be a normal patrol, talk to you later, kisses, say hi to aunt Carmin (my mom) Angel." My cousin was killed by a mortar shooter on November 18, 2005.

In the very same moratr attack were my cousin was killed I almost loss my leg, tahnks God it didn't happen. Do we gonna keep this situation? For how long? How many widdows and orphans does the USA need? I hope this year will be a new beggining for our soldeirs and that they will come home soon. That we don't have to see any more tears in the face of those children nor wives. That this year we will open our eyes to see beyond fanaticism. Is time to have our boys back. I hope you understand what's beyond our fronties and that the news can tell the real thing and all tghe attrocities we had/have to see over there and with how many scarves we came back, not only phisicaly, but spiritualy. My aunt knows, my mom knows and I know, we lived it in fletch and bones. I pray for all the American soldiers and thair families, besides all the other soldiers from all the countries inside the collision, even for the people from Iraq. This wasn't done to ask for opinions, it was done to see 1 eye open.

with 1 eye opened is more than enough. Is easy to start a war that's gonna be fight for others meanwhile our politicians are in home enjoying Xmas and all the god things in life. God bless America and every one and each of us, often the people who left their families to fight for this country.

I'm tranlating for the last dates the E-mails were receieved, isn't the real date when those were sent, remember that all mail and e-mail most be analize for our superiors. If I'm translating is because I'm talking from the point of view us, the heroes from the other country, which is part of the USA, and is funny to fight for this great nation, but can't even vote for the president. Do you think is fear? I don't.

I hope he died in the name of love and I hope he has a better understanding of what love is now. Cause while we are here on earth we get such a small glimps of what true love really is imo.

We cannot lose unless we quit--now quit your pansy-*** liberal bedwetting and get on board with us patriots for the CAUSE.
Either you're with US, or you're with the enemy. Sounds to me like you're with the enemy--which is it?
