You can take it for the m.o.t at anytime even 2 month`s before it`s due .
But the m.o.t station can only add on 4 week`s from your previous m.o.t
So in theory your car can have 13 month`s m.o.t on it .
But you must take with you your old m.o.t or the date on the new test will be from the day you take it .

As long as you take your current MOT certificate with you to the testing station and your car passes then the station will make out a new one to expire twelve months after the expiry date on the old one. The maximum you can go before is one month.

you can have an MOT done up to a month before the old certificate expires, if you take the old certificate with you the new MOT will run for 12 months from the expiry of the old one.

If you do not take the old certificate it runs for 12 months from date of test

I dont think so? the new certificates are dated at time of mot then the expiry date is one day before next year.

Anytime from one month before. Just read your MOT certificate, it will tell you exactly. If it is your first however they will date it from the date and time you had it done.

Up to 30 days before expiration. That will give you 13 months before you have to worry about it again.

You can take it up to a month before but I normally take mine a week before it runs out.I I think they always date it from the day it passes on so you would lose out on days if you took a month before, also don't forget you have to pay for retest if it fails. You used to be able to get it back in for free if you managed to get work done in a certain time but not anymore.

You can get your test done at any time. If it's done during the month of expiry, the new one will run for one year from the expiry date of the old test. You must bring your old test certificate with you or the new one will expire one year from the date of the test.

If you get it done earlier, it will run for one year from the date of the test.

You can, just take your old certificate in when they do the work and the garage can allow you up to a month before the new one starts.
