there is this girl i loved my whole life. we've been going strong for almost a year now. we spent this holiday vacation on our hometown and I've been visiting her on her parents house. The thing is, her parents liked me at the start but after a couple of visits on their house, they started to unlike me. I have done nothing wrong. Could be that I'm a silent type and shy.

my girlfriend was crying on the phone coz she heard that her parents didn't like me. well she's kind of a sensitive person that just don't want to hear bad things about me. what should i do from now?

we're both 21 yrs old

first off i would try to discuss this with both your girlfriend and her parents sometimes being a quiet and shy person can come off as a person whos snotty and rude i would have a sit down and tell the parents how you feel about their daughter and them. In the future try to be more outgoing and very polite and respectful to them as a parent i know this will help, if your not as great as a boyfriend as you think and they think that you are treating their daughter badly this might also have something too do with it . my stepson is a wonderful person and yet his girlfriend is not i have repeaditly seen her humiliate and belittle him time and time again she is so self centered and runs around on him too so we actuslly have a reason to dislike her but we keep it to ourselves and pray that they don't marry good luck treat this girl with great respect and sooner or later her parents will come around..

Your gf should ask her parents why they dont like you? If you have not done anything wrong then there should be no reason why they dont like you. Maybe there is a mis understanding?
Your gf should find out. Once she has an answer then everything will be ´clear´.
You guys have been together a year and gone on holidays with each other, so there shouldnt be a promblem now.
Maybe her parents are worried that she is getting ´too serious´, loads of parents worry about that?

I don't know if this helps but during my younger years, I found that the less a girl's parents liked me, the more the girl did! I'm not sure why but I figured it was something to do with a slight rebellious streak in her.

Sit tight, either way she'll have to realise that she's either into you enough to forego their approval or not.

It would be good if they liked you because it would make things a lot easier.

She should talk to her parents and ask them why they don't like you.

However, at 21 years of age she has to decide if she loves you enough to disregard how they feel.

See if she's got the courage to ask why the don't like you. I dated a man my parents didn't like not because he wasn't a great guy but because they thought he wasn't good enough for me. That part is your girlfriends decision, not theirs. But maybe you did or said something you didn't realize and it can be repaired.

theres nothing you can do short term to make them like you, i even doubt some awkward sit down talk will help. With time thell see that u make her happy and appreciate you for that
