When a child goes back to school, after winter break[2-3weeks], does he look different.. like more grown up to the teachers? I'm talking appearence wise and like their face structure.. do they look more grown up and different?

Stupid question indeed, but I'll give 10 points to whoever can answer this for me.. thanks.

Well, if you saw a child almost everyday and you didnt see them for two weeks do you think you would notice any difference in them? Im going to assume that most decent teachers would be able to see any changes in the children. I know that when my kids are gone for a weekend I notice things about them I didnt see before they left.

I would imagine that their appearance would definitely change. Children grow so fast that we don't notice so much when we look at them everyday. But I know that when I gave birth to twins 2 years ago, my older children were 9, 7, and 5 years old, and they all seemed to have grown quite a bit, when I was only away from them for 2 days! I noticed it more in the younger ones than I did my oldest, but there was still some change there even. Now my husband pointed out that could have something to do with the fact that I saw a lot of my 5# twins in those 2 days, which made the older children seem huge in comparison, and I haven't spent more than a day away from my children since then, but it seemed as though even their faces changed slightly. I definitely believe that they do change, ever so slightly, and if you spend much time with a child, and bond with them, you will notice any change, no matter how slight.

There are days when any one of my 3 kids wakes up and looks more grown up and different to me, and I see them every day! So I'm sure that this can happen after an extended break from the teachers. When they are young and growing, changes can happen very rapidly. It's amazing to me right now how different my 5 yr. old son looks today from yesterday! So, if I can see a change, I'm sure his teacher will.

Children grow at different rates. It also depends on the age of the child. If it's a younger child, chances are that their appearance most probably will be slightly more mature, due to the fact that at a younger age, they develope more and faster. If, however, the child is older, they're closer to the "completion" of their developement, and they will probably look more or less the same.

They probably look more refreshed after the break. The kids were able to take their minds off of school for a bit and get some playtime in at home. Not te mention the exitement they probably have in anticipation of telling the other kids about their new toys or the fun that they had while out.

I guess it depends on the age of the child. I would think that after not seeing anyone, especially a child- they may appear older. In addition, most children returning to school will have new clothing, jewelry, hair accessories all contributing to their overall appearance. So to answer you question, I would say yes, children/students would appear different or older.

i mean u can dress more mature or what ever and u may look older or more mature but i dont think that ur face can change drasticly unless u grow out a beard or mustach lol .

I think sometimes they do. My son's former KG teacher mentioned how much the kids in his class sprouted up that year over spring break. He felt like several of them got taller over the 3 week holiday.

you might notice a mood difference but i don't think any major appearance differences..unless they have a tan from skiing etc.. usually kids grow more in the summer time. you will definitely notice a difference after summer break..
