I woke up this morning in EXTREME PAIN. My left shoulder is killing me. It's where the shoulder blade is and sometimes shoots into my neck. No I am not having chest pains or breathing problems. I talked to a friend and he said that it was more than likely a pinched nerve.

I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE!!!! NO MONEY!!!!!!

I have searched the internet and all the symptoms point towards pinched nerve. I woke up this morning, and got in the shower and let the massage head of my shower head pound on my back for a good 30 minutes. This did not help with the pain at all. It's finally stopped hurting for a few minutes, but the dull ache is still there.

Thanks for your answers!

A few day's ago I took my wife to the emergency room for the exact same problem and they told her that she pulled some ligament's and muscle's in her neck area. Today she is still having the pain's with no sign's of healing, so our next step is to find a medical doctor that can tell her once and for all what is causing this. When we do I'll post a response in question form under my user-name for you.

Sounds kind of what I had...and it was a problem with a pinched rotator cuff. I could expalin what an impinged rotator cuff is but you'd be better off just googiling it and reading about it that trying to follow my explaination! I can tell you it is very painful and does sound like the symptoms you are having though. I ended up having to have surgery the pain was so bad. But, for now...try to take anti-inflamatory medicine like Advil or Aleve. It will bring inflamation down verses Tylenol which does not and only helps with pain.
If you have no insurance and no money I would highly suggest you contact the county or state you live in to see if there are governmnet programs out there that will help you get insurance that is funded through the state. Many people qualify for these programs and the premiums are often free or very low. It is (premiums) usually based on income... Or, look for a free clinic in your area or one that has a sliding fee which will charge you based on how much money you have...
Best of luck to you! Hope this helps and Happy New Year

Sounds like a pinched nerve to me... nothing for it really but moist heat and gentle stretching and wating. If it doesn't go away by itself after 3 days, see a chiropractor... not a doctor. They will just dope you up and send you for a bunch of really expensive and useless tests to tell you that you need surgery that you probably don't. Go chiropractic first... see a doctor if it doesn't help.

I also have pain in my left shoulder. Some days are worse than others. Try alternating between icing it and putting heat on it. Take aspirin to help reduce the inflammation and try mild stretching exercises.
