Besides just being nice and going to church every once in a while do you actually follow jesus commandments?

Biblical Command to Preach the Word

This is not the hebrew scriptures that only are aimed at the jews but the greek passages that were ment for ALL.

II Timothy 4:1-2 “I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine”

Mark 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Baptists were sending missionaries to home and foreign fields before there were any such thing as Pentecostals, Adventists, Jehovah Witnesses (aka Russellites), or Mormons. So the answer to your question is....YES!

Mark 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Here is a fascinating thing. The original Greek meaning of “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” opens up some interesting thoughts. The word for “go” is very captivating. It is poreuomai, meaning “go.” The word “all” also carries with it gripping connotations. It is hapas, and actually means “all.” And if that doesn’t rivet you, look closely at the word “every.” It is pas, and literally means “every.” So when Jesus commanded us, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” to be true and faithful to the original text, what He was actually saying was, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” We
are so fortunate to have access to knowledge like this.

I'm non-denominational.
I think you can preach just as loudly to those around you by your lifestyle. You don't ever have to say a word. My husband works at construction sites and has never "preached" to anyone. On several occasions people have cursed in front of him and then apologized to him. So you can carry the presence of the Lord with you if you spend time with Him. Your life will speak volumes.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments

I'm Catholic, and I preach the word to any who are willing to hear it. The problem is that there are very few who are willing to hear it. Most people would rather surround themselves with teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear.

It seems to me in these times one good way to spread the word is by example more so than words.

I can only speak from personal experience. Jehovah's Witnesses are the only group who regularly and consistently follow these commands.
