I fell down and injured my knee region. After going for tests i was told that there is a 1.5 cm clot under my patella. I am in a foreign country and have problems communicating. I was told to go for physiotherapy? Will that help? What are my other options?

A hematoma is a bruise. If there's a small clot under the kneecap, therapy might jog it loose, but wait until the swelling goes down and keep ice on it. It may just go away.

If you were told by a doctor that physiotherapy will help the clot then go for it.

I don't really know what the therapy can do for it. My reccomendation would be for you take Ibuprofen, Advil, or Alleve for the pain and the blood clot/hematoma will eventually be absorbed by your body.

Use ice to decrease pain and swelling.
You may need warfarin to make sure you blood still circulates well and get checked out properly when you get home
