If you have a pasenger side airbag this is unsafe for your baby. I have read stories about parents who did this, then they got in an accident, and the baby was hurt or killed, and the state decided to prosecute the parents for child endangerment or negligence.

Whether there is a specific law addressing your situation will depend on which state you live in. But even if your state's laws do not specifically address this situation, there is an argument that you are violating your state's child endangerment or criminal negligence statutes.

Check the guidelines given with your seat or with the manufacture but if you have an air bag in the passenger seat then it cannot, must not, as this would be unsafe for the baby.

if it has an airbag in the passenger seat at the front it is against the law as it will suffocate your baby, its safer to put the seat in the back

its not really a good idea but as long as theres no air bag in the front u can. but to be honest if a police man pulled you over and saw that the back seats where empty and you had your baby in the front i think he wood ask you to move him to the back where its safer.

You should be less concerned about breaking the law and more concerned about your child's safety. The back seat is the safest place for him.
