Sure there are. The UK is a Christian Nation, the Queen the official head of it's Church. There are loads of other Christian Nations in Europe, the Vatican is one of the smallest with one if the widest world influences, just look at how many people do not wear a condom because the Pope has said it is wrong.
There are lots of Islamic Nations, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, the list is almost endless.
Or are you trying to ask a different question?

Possible yes, they've been seen throughout history.
Like England, with the Anglican Church
Medieval Europe was purely Catholic.
Currently many of the middle eastern countries follow strict Islamic code.
And Israel is jewish.
But, an increase in diversity leads to the failure of all of this nations. Theocracy are failures in general. They all crumble and eventually get replaced by a secular BETTER government. Anyone saying that the US is a Christian nation obviously didn't read the bible and knew nothing about our founding fathers.

Islam is the official, government sanctioned religion of most of the countries of the Middle East. It is the basis of all their laws. Judaism is the official religion of Israel. As of now, there aren't any officially Christian nations, though they're trying real hard to make the USA officially Christian. Let's hope it doesn't happen.

Not at all.
The purpose of the religion of God is not for dominion but for salvation.
When we love all mankind and make self-sacrifice for the benefit of all, we are following the true religion.
When we want to use human force to fanatically dominate any nation, we are doing wrong in the name of religion. The mature humanity will no longer accept such thing.

Only if enforced by violence and indoctrination. Jesus did not teach this.
He said that His kingdom is "not of this world", yet all of those who have joined it were living in this world.
Don't worry about trying to enforce a religious state. Just teach the truth of the gospel, with love, show the power of Christ operating in YOUR life, and leave the results to God.

What do you mean can they be possible?
Islamic states exist already. They're incredibly primitive with crude and savage laws calculated to maintain the status quo with a despicable amount of brutality justified by religious law.
