If they force you of course you have to fight, but if they are just talking smack , ignore them . I don't doubt you'd probably win again in a one on one fight but if there is more then one , you'll probably lose badly . If your hell bent on fighting though , you need to get a couple of guys to back you up . All they have to do is keep the bullies friends occupied . Try talking to the principal again though .
By the way you might want to ask your teacher to teach you some strikes from a standing position . I know BJJ does teach some striking .

MMA has plenty that Kung Fu doesn't and vice versa. They're completely different. Anybody that tries to act like one contains all of the other is an idiot plain and simple. If any style contained everything then that's all anybody would be doing. Part of the beauty of the martial arts is that they all have their own specialties and flavors. Kung Fu is a cultural experience full of history and beautiful movements, MMA is a no frills fighting method. Pick your preference and don't listen to anybody that makes ridiculous claims about Traditional styles having everything and being 100% complete. I spent 6 years training in Traditional Northern Shaolin Kung Fu styles as well as 3 in Wing Chun and not once did I ever learn REAL ground fighting.

Go talk to the principal again - the martials arts offer you confidence and 'not a way to beat someone up'. Mental strength you know you are better than them as you haven't gone for the reinforcements of bringing another guy to assist you fighting. Talk, talk and talk some more, get teachers, parents students on your side, every one has been in this positionand can understand what you are going through. Some have even been both the bully and the victim. Krav Maga teachers that victims are not chosen they volunteers - gain mental toughness.

Walking away is the best answer. You may not think so, but why do you want to get hurt? You got a girl you need to show how tuff you are? Its not worth it, plus, if you do hurt him, you can be charged with assult. If the principal won't do anything, which I can't believe he wouldn't because his job is on the line if this gets out of control, especially on school property. In a couple of years it isn't going to matter anyway. Seen this too many times. You will graduates as they will, and you go your seperate ways, and may never see him again. There is always someone out there that is tougher than you. Just keep that in mind.

Pride you will always have. Dont worry about that. Why show your skill just like a monkey at the carnival. Tell them to join the Wrestling team if they want a peice of you if they dont then they are scared. Regardless I know its not that easy. Do walk away from it if can. If they attack you use what you know.

You say the principal will not do anything, then report it to the police. Also tell your parents and some friends so they will know what happened if anything does so they can back you up.

Peace,

lr

Some of these people are real retards. I think I was in more fights than in class in high school. Now I´m 25 and think it´s all stupid. It got me now where. I know how hard it is to walk away in situations like that. No one remembers the stupitshit that went on in high school anyways. If you know how to fight great prove it in a place that wont get you thrown in juvie. I spent quite a bit of time in there just for fighting. My hand is broken from a fight. I have more stitches than a rag doll from fighting. I´ve lost super cool girlfriends from fighting. Believe me most respectable chicks dont like fighting. Just walk away dude.

Wow!
I'm sorry to hear that you have to put up with this stuff.

The principal is LEGALLY OBLIGATED to handle this stuff, so talk to him/her again, talk to your folks, talk to your counselor, talk to your teachers, you get the idea.

Do your best to walk away from the fight. Crippling this piece of dog-poop, and/or his buds isn't going to do you or your folks any good.

Keep your mouth shut. Talking about pride, representing your Art, etc. will only get you into more crap. Again, walk away.

If the jerks have weapons (guns/knives/spray/you get the idea), avoid them and call the police.

However, if the reality of life DOES manifest itself (the dog-poop crew actually attacks you, AND it wasn't because you did your "Billy Bad-A**" speech), take out the biggest-toughest guy first.

You WILL get your tail kicked, but the rest of the crew will think twice before they hassle you again, because you hurt the big dude.

I sincerely wish you good luck on this issue.

It's really quite sad to see people telling you that you should fight. It saddens me that people who call themselves martial artists would feel this way.

When I was in school, I was also picked on by bullies. This is why I started training in martial arts. But a funny thing happened. Instead of me having to use what I learned, the bullies just stopped picking on me and moved on to someone else. Because of my training, my self confidence grew and showed in my outward expression. I didn't have to brag about my training. They just saw that I wasn't afraid of them anymore and decided to go and find someone easier to pick on. That's the nature of bullies.

If you seek them out and fight, you will only make the situation worse. As you said, when you beat up one guy, he just went and got his buddies. If you fight them all, they will just keep coming back. Maybe next time they will have more people or even weapons. Of course, if they attack you, then you can and should defend yourself to the best of your ability. Keep in mind that if you do any serious harm to any of them that you will be subject to penalties from the law, your school, or even being sued by your opponent. Of course, if they assault you, you can take similar action against them.

The purpose of any martial art should not be to hurt someone, it is to stop them from hurting you. When I have been forced into situations where I have had to defend myself, I try every means available to avoid fighting. If that failed, I deflected the attack. If they persisted, I used restraining holds. If the situation escalated from there, it is obvious that this person intends on doing me harm regardless of his own condition and at that point I would use whatever means necessary to stop him. This does not mean I punched him in the throat or tried to do him serious harm. But, I would use strikes to the knees, or other means to stop him.

I hope you consider all of your options before you let the situation become something larger than it should be.

Good luck to you.

the best thing you can do is turn and walk away knowing you can kick their buts...if it does persist you need to announce to them, and make sure their are other people around to hear, that you would fight any one of them 1 on 1. if you can make a public display everyone will know whats going on and probably be on your side. you do need a few good friends, or an uncle or somebody on your side to be there so nobody can inter fear.if you fight them all individually you would kick all their buts unless they got a good strike in that you can't handle, other wise shoot and shoot hard neutralize take down pound...pound ...pound....most other styles are not ready for what you can bring to the fight..you really do need to talk to your bjj teacher for advice and some good moves if you are in a real pinch..

He can't always be with his buddies... let him know whenever he is alone it's kickass time. Also enroll in a martial arts class, make some friends in the martial arts community, start your own gang... There is no absolute clear cut solution for the ever present juvenile bully wannabe peck order. You have a natural right to a reasonably safe existence. If the "authorities" can't keep order (surprise surprise) You must create your own.
