I have a question to all parents.I've noticed, when you post a question about parenting - spanking, punishments, bed time, etc, you read all answers but always pick the answer of a parent who has a lot of children. What I mean is,once I answered a question about discipline and was chosen as "the best answer" just because I pointed as a source "I'm a mother of 5 children"(I answered from another email). And the asker explained "I like all the answers but I think your is best, considering that you are a mother of 5".People,I am 12 and I definitely have NO children, but just know some things about discipline. What I wanna say is how indignant am I at that.People with no kids or with 1-2 kids are trying to help you and you almost ignore their answers just because they have no kids(or have, but don't say it) and you may pick the answer of a 12-year-old just because the 12-y-o has said that she is 36 and has 5 children!Stupid - isn't it?

LOL Excellent point. People like to think they are getting advice from someone who has experience. They also have a terrible tendency of not being able to think for themselves like you do. Keep it up.

~I think that's wrong of you to say you have a bunch of kids and don't, you're lying.
I don't pick an answer based on how many kids a person has.
I think the reason your answer is being picked is because you relate to the age of the children they're asking about, not how many kids you say you have.
I highly doubt that you are 12! How many 12 year olds do you know that use the word "indignant?" ~
This deceitful liar emailed me with this..
"Message: What is wrong with the word 'indignant'?Yeah, you may not have heard a 12-year-old to use it but how many 12-year-olds have you talked with?I feel angry when people consider children under 15 years as retarded.Yes,in USA the children may be retarded for their age...but it's not like that in the whole world.I think I know alot other words that you don't...but they just aren't in English.Yes,I AM 12 but I may seem older to you because in the US nobody considers 12-year-olds as mature enough people and that's the mistake of all parents.I live in Europe and I have learned English at school. That's my second year of learning English and the word 'indignant' was one of the first words we took this year,so I guess there is nothing wrong with that word."
Then on one of her answers, she claims to be 14!...
"I had my first boyfriend at 14 so I would say YES it is normal not to have and please, learn some grammar before you look for boys.Jesus...9-year-olds in Europe have better English grammar than American children!"
Who knows how old she is, maybe even her?
Very angry little girl!~

years ago the United Nations warned that human over population was the number 1 threat to continued existance....
scientists say that at our current growth rate, within 50 years, North Americans and Europeans will be forced to eat cat and dog like in Asia becuase cities are consuming farm land at alarming rate - there will be no land left to raise food for cattle so beef will be $$$$.
at our current growth rate, within 100 years there will be mandiotry death for people who reach certain ages.. in effort to control our numbers and strain each of us puts on the planet. (like in the show Logans Run)
any person who has had 5 kids ISNT responsible enough to be answering any kind of parenting question because if they were concerned about the world they would have stopped at 1 or 2 kids
also what is a person who is such a good parent of 5 kids doing on the computer?

REVISED ANSWER!!
When you "choose" a "best answer...
You only have 300 "characters" to work with for a response or comment!!!
So...when the "asker" chose your answer and gave a "reason" why she chose your answer ...could it be that: "because you are the mother of five" (could it really mean) : "I found Your answer to be sound advise..and insightful...it was filled with knowledge and experience, and I think that the advise you gave may very well work for me!" (a little wordy... one only has 300 characters to "sum it up")
You don't have to "justify" your answer....(by adding information that may not be true!)
Trust that your answer is good...and don't get "insecure" just because you are so young...
I think a TWELVE YEAR OLD could pretty well be an EXPERT on discipline....WHO are the "babysitters" of the world??? 12 to 16 year old girls...so who better than YOU to know what works FOR you?!?
One of the things that (I think!) makes this site work so well...is honesty...and integrety...
So let's not compromise that!!!
Have fun answering!!!
Be "wise" answering!!!
Be funny, or sarcastic, or bitter.. or angry...or biased....
BUT
Be truthful!!! and Be yourself!!!

See in the wonderful on-line unreality for some people such as yourself you dwell on such things. You write that you are a 36 yr old with 5 kids and then turn around and say HA-HA I am 12.. What's the point?
I don't rate answers according to how many children someone has, I rate it (or pick it) according to how informative it is.

I agree. I'm 15 and have given out a couple of tips chosen as best answers. I just post what I know about how I've been disciplined, and such.
I suppose that people chose answers with more children because they see that there is more expirience in that person.

Nope because of the fact no person would be appropriate in this earth and have the suited answer each and every of the time, as a result we because of the fact the question posters won't be in a position to continually %. the superb answer each and every of the time. it isn't any longer approximately continually choosing the superb answer yet choosing an answer to be the superb.

I think you have a very good point. Some people have more common sense then others; no matter how old. I feel people asking parenting questions want advice from people with children. I personally feel a person with five children maybe needs to receive advice, not necessarily give it. We all judge the book by its cover.

because new parents and people that are not parents cant tell you much about parenting. You have to have experience like with anything else. Would you rather learn to bungee jump with a new instructor or an instructor that has done it a million times. It is about experience baby.
